Re: What books are you reading?
Just finished Bonhoeffer: Pastor, Martyr, Prophet, Spy by Eric Metaxas. A good biography, though it could have been edited down a bit. I own that book! \:D/ Please note that I did not say that I have read it. ;) I heard that it was really good and I saw it on sale, so I bought it, but it's so long ...

Re: Father Brown mysteries
I've read most of these (in fact, a collection of stories was required reading in my school curriculum). I remember them being quite good, though I agree they are a bit confusing at first. I think the stories with Flambeau (not sure how it's spelled) are the best. Especially the first story, the Blu...

Re: Agents of SHIELD
I’m curious what’s going to happen with Fitz’s character if there’s a second season. He’s going to have mental damage for quite a while, if not permanently, but I can’t see them remaking his role in the show to fit that, they would surely just drop him from the regular cast. But if that’s going to ...

So that’s how it went down. Pretty much as expected.

Re: Arrow
The Promise: Another 'meh' episode. Most of the stuff on the island was predictable, since we basically knew it was going to happen. Some interesting stuff with Slade and Oliver. I wonder who the preacher is? Also, some interesting tension building. Did anyone else hate that moment when Sarah said: ...

Re: Noah
Here's an article that really made me think about Noah. Noah and Gnosticism Here's a response, on why the speculation of Gnosticism in Noah is highly misleading: No, Noah is not Gnostic (Say that ten times fast!) Yeah, I just read that. It was quite interesting. I still have a feeling I won't see N...

Re: What books are you reading?
I am currently reading Flight of the Angels by Allan and Aaron Reini. A fascinating, Christian sci-fi (though, not in any of the ways you'd think).
I also just finished The Carnivorous Carnival by Lemony Snicket and I am just about ready to start Matched by Allie Condie.

Re: Continuum
I have not seen it, but I heard about it just recently and have been considering checking it out. I would encourage you to check it out. The first couple episodes of both seasons are a bit weak, but by the end of the season I was on the edge of my seat. (Of course, I 'binged' them on Netflix, so no...

Continuum
Has anyone seen (or even heard of) this show? It's a Canadian made show about a cop who time-travels from 2077 chasing some terrorists. The fascinating thing is the protagonists are in favor of a totalitarian government, while the antagonists are against the said government. It presents some unique ...

Thank you for that, Jelly. After being confused through this thread, that clarified things.

Re: Arrow
Gosh, one thing after another for Laurel. Hopefully one of these blows will make her wake up instead of continuing to spiral. Just wait until the next episode. Great job with Slade there. I mean, we know it doesn’t work out in the end because the ship does get scuttled and Oliver is going to shoot ...

Re: Arrow
I agree about Blood's Mom. However, I don't know if I would have liked it better if they dragged it out without having much to do with the plot. They could have made something up to wrap it in, but it still might have felt forced. Of course, this felt forced too, so... Just wait to you watch Heir to...
