Re: Inside Out
I absolutely agree, Bookworm. When that scene happened, I almost cried. This was just a wonderfully brilliant movie.

Re: Daredevil series on Netflix
The violence was a bit disturbing, but I thought the series was pretty good overall. I felt there was a few miss-steps towards the end of the season, but the last two episodes were quite good.

Re: What books are you reading?
I just finished 'Foundation and Earth' by Isaac Asimov, which was... great with a confusing ending.
Now I'm reading 'The Missing Kitten' by me and an English Textbook (for fun) and 'The Pursuit of Holiness' by Jerry Bridges

Re: The Flash
This show is good. The first few episodes are a little cliche, but it is laying the groundwork that must be laid for all superhero stories. Still, this is a fun show with a great cast and it looks to get better in the future.

Re: Arrow
I must say, this season has been kind of boring for me. The first episode cliffhanger felt crammed in and I really didn't care about Sara dying. It was like "She's back!" and then "She's dead!" It felt too rushed for me to actually care about her dying. But maybe that's just beca...

I am reading The Blood Gospel by James Rollins and Rebecca Cantrell. It's interesting, by which I mean 'it includes Catholic vampires'.

Re: Arrow
You're right, the cliffhanger doesn't really hold up on reflection. It works as an initial jolt, but when you think about it there's not really that much to worry about (unless it was a head shot, but that's unlikely).

Re: Arrow
I'm not sure that Moira's death is unnecessary. I think that for the character growth the writers wish to take, Oliver must be more independent. Also, killing Moira sets up Thea's change and it allows us to see how truly, truly evil Slade is. I agree, her death is awful and not absolutely necessary...

Re: Noah
After much thought over the film, I feel its greatest failing was spending to little time on the redemption of Noah. It spends the entire film setting up Noah as God's means of ending humanity and when he changes his mind, it felt to me that it just rushed through it. There was no sense that Noah st...

Re: Thor (PluggedIn Loves It)
The sad thing about Thor is that the story is not executed well. While the other Marvel movies have better stories, I feel Thor and Thor 2 are the most thoughtful of Marvel movies (though, perhaps, even the ideas they present are not well fleshed out). In essence, these two movies are looking at wha...

Yep. Of course Isabella has to become superpowered. Otherwise there cannot be a big showdown later in the season.

The Booth at the End
Anybody seen this show? It's a Hulu Original that came out a few years ago, but I just started watching it now. It's short (25 minutes an episode) and only five episodes a season. It's fascinating, delving into questions of morality, human nature, and religion.
Anybody seen it or thought of seeing it?

Now we have set up for Thea, set up for Roschev, and set up for Roy. Good episode, as far as I can remember. I did not see the Roschev twist coming.

Re: Arrow
Suicide Squad: Now this was a good episode. Cool gadgets, quick pace, kind of predictable but I didn't mind that so much. Cool stuff going on with Oliver. I have a feeling he's going to regress in his character arc. I wonder if he'll end up back on the island at the end of the season? Some more good...

I am currently reading Kendra Kandlestar and the Shard from Greeve by Lee Edward Fodi. It's okay, but not as good as I remember the first two being.
Once I finish that, I can start Reached by Allie Condie, which is a daunting 500 some pages.
