Re: Arrow
Well, I didn't expect Arrow to escape that way. Really cool that Black Canary got to use her sonic weapon though. (If you don't know the comic-book version actually has a superpower that lets her emit her own sonic cry). I am still trying to figure out if she is good or bad. Obviously she was part o...

Re: Revolution
I guess we could partially excuse Rachel for being out of it based on recovering from the arrow wound or drinking copious amounts of alcohol in this episode, but yeah, not very wise choices on her part. So somehow Aaron has connected telepathically with the nanites and is able to see through the eye...

Re: Revolution
They use him to scare the whole town, and then came in at the last second to rescue everyone from the trouble that they caused. Ah, good thinking. That does make some sense, but not completely. It would make that town more trusting of the U.S. but again, why is that one town so important in the lon...

Re: BBC's "Sherlock" Series
The cat’s now out of the bag, Sherlockians: the folks over at Entertainment Weekly have revealed that Sherlock‘s highly anticipated third season will return Sunday, January 19 at 10 pm ET on PBS Masterpiece. This ends months and months of speculation as to when the popular British drama would final...

Re: Revolution
And what was with Miles and the exploding shed? And the mark on his hand? I guess there will be some deal with it later? I completely forgot about that! There’s another thing we’re given no explanation of then. I guess they are trying to set up some things to be important later in the season *shrug...

Re: Audio Editing
I've used Audacity to edit my church's sermons for a podcast. I don't a lot of heavy editing though, just remove some of the background noise and level the audio.

Re: Arrow
I completely forgot about this thread. The opening episode was so good. I really like how everything that happened last season affects how the characters act. Interesting that Oliver returned to the island to deal with Tommy's death. Take special note of the boat that is broken and sunk in the bay. ...

Re: General Prayer Requests
I learned this morning that a friend from church was killed in a car accident last night. She just graduated from high school last spring and was starting her first year at college. Please keep her family in your prayers.

Re: Revolution
So, the first episode was pretty meh. I expected it to be slow because it had to set up the new setting, but even so it was quite a letdown. Lots of setup, if you want to call it that, but no progression. We're just given how things are and none of why they got that way. We know the mom apparently ...

Re: Life, life
I am ready and not ready for my final semester to begin on Monday. I am attempting a crazy semester: 15 credits, plus being a TA (teacher's assistant) and starting a cheese club. Not to mention working on the farm and continuing to work on remodeling our kitchen in my free time.

Re: Revolution
Honestly, I agree with your final conclusion, the only reason I kept watching was to find out what kept the power off and what the Tower was. I didn't really connect to any of the characters (or even like any of them that much) and there were too many lapses in logic of how things actually work for ...

Re: Revolution
And we start out this episode with the big suspenseful revelation that, wait for it, the mom fails to kill Monroe with the grenade! Oh my gosh, what a shocker! I can’t believe it! I know she utterly failed in every single other thing she’s ever tried to do because she’s an unbelievable idiot that’s...

Re: My Theory About "The New Story Arc"
Also, the episodes after Life Expectancy is a 2-part episode called "The Pilot." The theme of that show is service. Perhaps Whit, with his new pilot license, will fly Connie to a third world country. I don't really know why, but when I heard you talk about missionaries and service, my fir...
