For My Sister...

I won't get into any major details...but my sister (Missy) could really use some prayer right now. She is going to put down her dog (named Cookie) on Monday. Her dog has been having a lot of seizures and I guess whatever is causing them is making her somewhat paralyzed.

Anyway, please pray that she will be comforted at this time and that God will keep my sister safe and protected. Also that God will show her that He loves her and that God knows exactly what He is doing. I also ask that you pray for the rest of my family as well. It is really hard for us to see her so upset and all. She has had that dog for a long time, I mean we got Cookie when she was about 6 months (maybe a year) and she is now around 8 years old.

I honestly can't image what she is going through...

Thank you, conquestor. For some years the dog would have seizures, but she had medicine to help prevent them. Though, a couple weeks ago we found out Cookie had an infection in her intestines, which because she wouldn't eat and all, we think that's why she had more seizures. The doctors don't know what is causing her to have them, they just know whatever it is, has gotten worse. One of their thoughts was that it could be a brain tumor...but they wouldn't know unless they were to do an MRI and other scans, but my sister does not have the money for them to do all that. And I think it would be too late to do anything now.

Sorry, mixed things up. Our cat died the night before we were going to have her put down, it was really hard.

*laughs* Uh, yeah. My sister is 21...and I'll be 20 on the 20th! Ah! I'm getting too old..


Well, I guess the bright side to that is, you didn't have to actually go through with the choice to put her down. She just went on her own time.
