Introducing

Postby gimp80995 » Thu Jan 05, 2006 7:23 pm

We had this idea at another site, and in response to people wanting this board to be more active, and we already have at least two people doing devotionals regularly, I thought I'd bring the concept here.

Weekly "Challenges" (questions to answer or things to actually do during the week to help us grow Spiritually).

Seeing as Sunday is the first day of the week, I will be posting new challenges either Sat night before I go to bed, or Sun morning when I get up (whenever I remember to do it)........now some of these will be ones I've done before, but for the most part, I will actually be doing them right along with the rest of you.

I was going to post one tonight until I realized that there are only two more days to this week (for some reason I was on Tues  )., so the first one will come up as I said, either Saturday night or Sunday morning, and will be up for a week (though you can still respond to it after the week is up, just I'll put up a new one at the end of the week).

Peace Out

-Gimp

God does not call the qualified, He qualifies the called.

God, Grant us the peace that comes from honest dealings so that no fear of discovery will haunt our sleep May we inflict no pain, bring no shame, and seek no profit by another's loss.

I think this sounds like a fantastic idea.

And now that we are starting to revive the forum again...all we need now are a couple of moderators.

If elected, I'll personally, help moderate :). I love this part of the board. :D I also love this idea. I'm releasing "challenges" as well (at the end of my devotions), but they're not weekly. I'll be posting my next weekly devotional tonight :). (But, now, I really have to get offline and clean my house .)

*looks around*.........I think my challenge for the next couple hours will be cleaning my room.........things got.....uh...messy here around Christmas, and I've not had the time to clean up the scraps of wrapping paper and such since then.

Peace Out

I'd also be glad to offer some assistance wherever I can give it.

I have added a new feature to the challenges.........polls which I will add to the challenge on the last day (usually when I put up the new week's challenge) to find out how many people learned something from the challenge, how many didn't learn anything and how many didn't participate.............

You don't have to post reasons with the poll option it will just help me with ideas for what challenges are mostly helpful and which ones really aren't all that helpful, and the ones that people don't seem interested in for my own future reference.

Peace Out
