It seems more and more we live in a "me first" world where everyone is concerned with themselves and their life's problems. It would appear that while they will tell people all about the latest crisis or tragedy in their own lives that they don't appear to be aware that other people have things going on too.....

Think about the years Christ spent on earth. He never complained about how hard He had it. The one time we DO hear Him mention that He had "nowere to lay his head" ( Matthew 8:19-20 ; Luke 9:58 ), He wasn't saying "hey guys, feel sorry for me"........He was telling this teacher "before you make that kind of comittment (to follow Jesus wherever He went), be sure you know exactly what you're getting yourself into"

So for the next week I would like you guys to practice "J.O.Y" Jesus First, Others in between, Yourself last.

That pretty much describes itself.........Always put Jesus first. Noone and nothing should come ahead of Him. Then spend more time and energy asking others how their lives are going, especially those whom you know that things haven't been going well in the past, and spend less time announcing your problems to others. I should probably put this disclaimer here that this does not mean for you to not share prayer concerns / praise reports with others.......it simply means to try to spend more time asking how other's lives are going and less time focusing on yourselves (and getting others to do so as well).

At the end of the week, share with us any changes (if any) you noticed by doing this.

Peace Out
