TJ! - Final Jeopardy - Game 1

Post by Irwin »

It's time for Final Jeopardy! \:D/ All clues have been exhausted from the round of play!

The scores of the contestants are as follow:
  • King Butter Turtle - $1400
  • Marvin D. - $600
  • Trixie Belden - $1800
  • American Eagle - $6000
  • Eugene - $2400
The Final Jeopardy! category is "Music". All contestants have exactly 24 hours to PM me their wager. (After that time, if a wager is not given to me, the contestant will not be able to participate in the Final Jeopardy.)

Afterwords, I'll reveal the clue and players will have another 24 hours to PM me their question. And once that time has transpired the winners will be revealed and prizes awarded! \:D/

In case you forgot the prizes were based on my money total at this point. Here's what it comes out to:

1st place: $460.87 (80%)
2nd place: $57.61 (10%), ALSO INCLUDED: the privilege of choosing a sig and avatar I'll wear for 15 days following the competition.
3rd place: $57.61 (10%)

~~

It has been 24 hours, and here is the clue! \:D/

Music - Final Jeopardy!
-----
This episode features music from Tchaikovsky's Nutcracker.
-----

Contestants have exactly 24 hours to PM me their response. (Make sure it's in the form of a question!)

For the record, I won't be back until Wednesday, so I can take the winnings in cash or money order. ;)

Results are finally revealed! \:D/
Scores before Final Jeopardy!:
  • King Butter Turtle - $1400
  • Marvin D. - $600
  • Trixie Belden - $1800
  • American Eagle - $6000
  • Eugene - $2400
~~
King Butter Turtle wrote:What is For Thine is the Kingdom?
I couldn't find any clear selections from the Nutcracker in this episode so I can't accept this response.
King Butter Turtle wrote:$1400
KBT's score goes from $1400 to $0.

~~
Eugene wrote:What is "A Christmas Conundrum"?
I listened to this episode throughly and I couldn't find any recognizable songs except "Deck the Halls".
Eugene wrote: I would like to wager everything I have! \:D/
Eugene goes from $2400 to $0.

~~
American Eagle wrote:What is For Thine is the Kingdom?
We've already established that this answer is wrong.
American Eagle wrote:Double or nothing: $6000 is my wager. 8-)
AE's score goes from $6000 to $0.

~~

I didn't recieve any wagers from Marvin D. or Trixie Belden so they are ineligible to win this round.

~~

What I was going for was Isaac the Procrastinator. The Nutcracker can be heard when Lucy and Isaac are in the library.

~~

Scores after Final Jeopardy!:
  • King Butter Turtle - $0
  • Marvin D. - N/A
  • Trixie Belden - N/A
  • American Eagle - $0
  • Eugene - $0
~~

In the real show, if all contestants have a score of zero at the end, no one wins. However, this rule will not apply here! \:D/

To fix this situation, we'll have a "tie-breaker", the rules of which follow:
  • All contestants may be part of the tie-breaker regardless of their participation in Final Jeopardy!
  • A statement is written below. Please PM me all a list of all items that fit that statement.
  • You'll have exactly four days to complete this task.
  • During these four days you may send me a partial list at any time, however, the last list that I recieve will be the one that I use.
  • After the four days I'll tally the "points" in each player's response:
    • Correct answers: 3 points
    • Incorrect answers: -2 points
  • The player with the most points will win! \:D/
~~

Here is the tie-breaker statement:

Name all characters you can think of that have played for the Odyssey Coyotes. (Coaches will be accepted as well.)

~~

Thank you for your understanding once again! \:D/

I'm assuming by "all characters you can think of" we're not allowed research. In that case, I'm got some thinking to do! \:D/

I will allow research! \:D/

As a note, I will most likely never host a contest were research is not allowed, as I can't enforce it.

We finally have real winners! \:D/

As a reminder, the tie-breaker statement was:

Name all characters you can think of that have played for the Odyssey Coyotes. (Coaches will be accepted as well.)

And correct answers were worth +3, and incorrect answers were worth -2. Below, I also marked "N/A", if I couldn't find any evidence for or against the claim that the character played on the team.
In a tie for fourth place, are King Butter Turtle and Trixie Belden. They didn't submit entries, but they played an awesome game! \:D/

In third place, is Marvin D, with 19 points! He receives $57.61. \:D/
Marvin D. wrote:
  • Tom Riley +3
  • Connie Kendall +3
  • Davey Holcolmb +3
  • Tamika Washington +3
  • Ashley (in winning edge) +3
  • Robyn Jacobs +3
  • Ashley Jenkins (All Star Witness) +3
  • Grady McKay? -2
  • Kimberly Masters (N/A)
In second place, we have Eugene, who grabbed 39 points! He as well receives $57.61, plus "the privilege of choosing a sig and avatar I'll wear for 15 days following the competition". \:D/
Eugene wrote:Players
  • Davey Holcomb +3

  • Henry Thomas +3
  • Sam Johnson +3
  • Ken Blaylock +3
  • Vance King +3
Coaches
  • Tom Riley +3
  • Connie Kendall +3
  • Chang Fang +3
And in first place, is American Eagle with 63 points! \:D/ He gets the grand prize of $460.87! \:D/

  • Marvin Washington +3
  • Xavier Washington (3rd base coach) +3
  • Tamika Washington (she has filled in for Xavier, therefore was on the team) +3
  • Max Hampton +3

  • Jack Allen (owner or something? he hired Connie for coach, and basically ran the team) (N/A)
Thanks to all who participated in TJ! \:D/ It was a fun game!

If you wanted to be part of this one, but didn't get the chance, be watching for another game soon!

I'll play! I'll play!
^AIOluver^

Who am I? I'd rather not answer that question, the real question is, "Who are you?". Right now I am trying to think of something witty to put here.. I might not find anything, but that's fine. This block of text should be fine for a signature. Wait, are you still reading this? Why are you reading this? Stop. Seriously.
STOP.
This sentence is true.
The sentence above is false.

I dare you not to read this.
Hey! I said not to read this.
Maybe if I talk like this.
Wait, you still see me? *sighs* I give up.
