I have a friend whose name is Betty. She loves books, but she hates reading. She loves swimming, but hates water. She loves "Going Green", but she hates the environment. She loves Scooby-Doo, but hates dogs. She loves the Illead and the Odyssey, but hates all of Homer's Writing. She hates hot, cold, and lukewarm. If you can figure out why Betty likes what she likes, then I will pay you $25

Indeed. But I fail to see how that is a variation of 'My Friend Betty'.
