Oh. Are we allowed to pass and take money or something of this nature?

Oh, yeah, is it possible to change that to say, "On a players turn, the player's points increase by positive %10. If the player has negative points, %10 of that number multiplied by -1 is the players income for that turn."

If not, are we just going to interpret my rule to mean that? Because if not, everyone should have had a %10 increase last after my rule passed.

I don't think so.

Okay, I would like to propose that we make a rule to where we are allowed to pass a turn, and recieve 1 point. I am not sure which section this would go in, or if this is a good points amount, so I am open to help and point suggestions.

I vote aye on this new rule. I think this rule would be rule 306.

I vote nay. It seems somewhat pointless to me, considering we all get a %10 increase every turn.

I choose to vote "Nay" as well. I'm not in favor of anything that let's one "skip a turn.

I proposed this, because times like me, I am not sure what to change.

And since we have a tie, I choose to pass the vote.

We might have to invoke judgment on this one, but, Minichef, you had previously never voted "Aye" on this proposal. As of right now, I am choosing to fail this proposal. I need a second opinion though. I thought the consensus after last time was that you needed to express your "Aye" when you made your proposal.

No, the consensus after last time was that you did not need to express your "Aye" when you made your proposal.
See http://thetoo.com/viewtopic.php?p=938993#p938993.

I said one did need to.
You said one didn't need to.
Ric said one didn't need to.
So I dropped the point because I didn't care that much.

There for, I think, the consensus is that one does not need to.

But every rule we've made since that controversy, with the exception of Minichef, has included an "Aye" in the vote.

This one didn't: http://thetoo.com/viewtopic.php?p=940576#p940576

The aye is optional, the only reason I say it is because then we don't have this problem.

Well, use common sense. I think if you are going to propose something, you would usually vote "aye". Unless you are crazy and don't have the ability to use common sense, that is.

Actually, it can be a calculated strategy to vote Nay on your own proposal. For instance, had I voted Nay on my proposal that passed, I would have netted myself an extra 10 points. This is why we can't take unstated votes. In the proposal Minichef made that apparently set a precedent, she said "I think we should." If we make this decision, it limits the strategic play in this game.

OK, because we disagree, I use rule 212 to invoke Judgment, and Ric is the judge (because he goes before minichef). So Ric what is your judgement?

Me and montywhittakerIII disagree about the rules. So because of the rules, we are waiting for Rick to make a judgement, to determine who is right.

You can join now, in you want. Per rule 116. If you do then you go right after Ric and before minichef.
