:inlove:

I know its unlikely, but I'll probably have the Bengals go all the way as well... unless we are switching to real money here. ;)

Maybe Bengals VS 49ers in the Super Bowl for the 3rd time, but with better results! :x

Sounds good to me. But what do we do if two people both get it. Not score cause this is big. How bout the most correct matchups?

If two people end up tied going into the Super Bowl, we can do a TCS.

AFC:
(first round)
Texans vs. Bengals (Bengals at least have a legit shot here. ;))
Broncos vs. Steelers (Sorry Tebow, but the Steelers are good. They even are in the new Batman movie :( )

(second round)
Patriots vs. Bengals (Bengals do not really have a legit shot here. ;))
Ravens vs. Steelers (Ravens beat them twice in regular season... Steelers won't let that happen again!)

(third round)
Steelers vs. Bengals (Steelers beat them twice in regular season... Bengals won't let that happen again!)

NFC:
(first round)
Saints vs. Lions
Giants vs. Falcons

(second round)
Packers vs.Giants
49ers vs. Lions

(third round)
Packers vs. 49ers

Super Bowl:
Bengals vs. 49ers (My long planned out revenge at last!!!!! :x)

Because then I won’t do it. If it’s going to change it should be less because this is harder.

lol you have like $8,000 and you've worried about potentially losing $25? ;) Okay. I'm not worried about the money.

I didn’t say I was worried about it, I said it didn’t make sense.
Which is it then?

We can keep it at $5, that's fine. Because this is the final go-round, I thought it'd make it more exciting if the winner won over $150, instead of $35 or whatever it always is. When a grand finale arrives, you don't reduce risk; you increase it. ;) But whatever.

I understand the idea from the payout, but it is still counterintuitive from the payin. You wouldn’t want to have to risk more on something you are less likely to win.
If I win we can change it back to $25 though. :- (Kidding!)

This brings up an interesting question that I do not know the answer to because I’ve never had to score a bracket.
Next week I have the Patriots losing to the Steelers because I advanced them in yesterday’s game. Now, if they lose to the Broncos instead, because that’s who they’ll be playing now, do I still get points for that matchup? Because the essence of my pick is still the same. It was about the Patriots not advancing, not necessarily who caused them not to. :-k

No, you get points for correctly predicting the team that advances. It doesn't matter who they play. I said this like 16 posts ago. Obviously, I'm not in charge of the rules here, but that's how playoff-picking always works.
American Eagle wrote:I'm assuming the only thing that matters is picking the winning team. (In other words, as long the Saints win the Super Bowl, I get credit for the pick - even if they beat the Steelers instead of the Patriots.)
You get points if the Patriots beat the Broncos, bookworm, even though you projected them to play the Steelers.

But I projected them to lose to the Steelers.

Yep, so you can't get points for that pick. I also picked the Steelers to win in the second round (again the Ravens).

I’m just saying that I didn’t care who beat them, the pick I was making was that New England wouldn’t advance. So it seems like I should get something, because even though the team was different my pick was correct. But you’re probably right.

Heh heh, that's a funny way to make your picks. I'm assuming you have something against the Patriots? ;)
