Odyssey Scattergories

Post by King Butter Turtle »

Not sure if this has been done before but, here's how it works (if you've never played the regular game before) - I'll post six categories and a random (you'll just have to trust me that it's random) letter. Participants will PM me responses (one for each category) that all begin with the letter for that round. You get one point for each correct response (there's more than one right answer but, there are also wrong answers since they have to fit the category) that no one else used and two points for alliterative responses. (i.e. - Dish at Whit's End - R = Raspberry Ripple) We'll do a few rounds (depending on how popular this is) and there may be a prize for the winner. \:D/

ROUND 1
LETTER: T
1. A Character in Album 16
2. An Imagination Station Adventure
3. An Episode without Whit
4. A Street in Odyssey
5. A Store in Odyssey
6. A Location or Object having to do with the NovaComm Saga

Can we research?

I'm assuming not...

What do you expect all the rules to be laid out in the introduction or something? ;) We're gonna go with no internet research (i.e. - aiowiki) but, listening to episodes is fine.

I'll play! \:D/ I love Scattergories.

Now, I might not know off the top of my head what Album 16 happens to be, but I'll deal with it. ;)

Album 16 is Flights of Imagination. You'll have to try to remember the episodes. :)

For the record, there's no need to officially sign up or anything - just go ahead and PM me your answers if you want to play. :)

Do articles count? (‘The’ for ‘T’)

Great idea! Getting a pm ready.

EDIT: I will once you answer bookworm's question. ;) Oh and since it's no internet research, is it safe to assume that using the Official Guide is okay?

I'm almost positive that that is not allowed. :anxious: Only listening to episodes, I think.

Um... ya, we'll go with only listening to the episodes.

As for the question on articles, it is rather applicable with 'T'. I wrote the categories before 'rolling the die' (random.org) so, I wasn't thinking of specific answers - some might not even have a correct answer. Anyway, responses that begin with 'the' will be counted, provided that the 'the' isn't added unnecessarily. I.E. - 'the bible room' would count (if that fit any of these categories) but, 'the adventure of Abraham Lincoln' wouldn't count for 'Imagination Station Adventure' because you wouldn't ever say it that way; you would say 'Abraham Lincoln' since that's the title of the program. This one will be somewhat subjective but, I'll try to remain impartial and future rounds shouldn't have this issue. (except maybe 'A' but, we'll use the same guidelines if that letter happens to come up)

I know my last answer probably won't count. =p But it was all I could come up with. xD

If anyone guesses the same answers as me, I will look for you, I will find you, and I will kill you.

Good luck.

Wow, that made me literally laugh out loud (and I don't usually do that). =P

You find threatening violence over a game humorous? I thought it was in bad taste myself.

I don't know if this is why snubs laughed or not, but bookworm, watch the last 15 seconds of this video.
