I am going to make up a ‘bracket’ like last season so we can pick the playoffs again.

It will be a little confusing at first though, because the brackets (for those who choose to do one) will not be able to count for the cumulative picks (for those who are in that) because if you advance a loser your matchups will be wrong.
So anyone doing a bracket will need to post that as a separate one-time thing, and then the cumulative pool participants will need to continue posting weekly picks as well for that.

Anybody know why I saw a plane with the Colts logo at the Baltimore airport today?

The Colts play the Ravens on Sunday.

My season stats:
Final record: 172-83 (+89)
Best record: 13-1 (Week 11)
Worst record: 5-11 (Week 3)
Average record: 10-5
ToO pool wins: Yet to be determined
Real pool wins: Yet to be determined

I ended up with the exact same record as last year! O.O
I knew I was consistent, but that is amazing!

Interesting note: I had both my worst week ever (missing 11) and my best week ever (only missing one, twice) this season.

Referee Rants:
49ers get a fourth timeout and two illegal challenges
The Fail Mary, part 1
The Fail Mary, part 2
Packers get screwed again
Three mistakes in two games

Rule Rebukes:
Field goals above the uprights

Season 1, Season 2

So to make sure everyone understands what’s going on here, the Football Pool proper has now concluded. The only people making weekly picks from now on should be participants in the cumulative pool. They will continue picking each week’s individual matchups. (But will not need to pay a weekly fee.)

There is a separate contest, the playoff bracket, that anyone may participate in. That is a one time pick through the playoffs that is posted once. I will be the scorer and money holder for that; there is a $5 entry fee.

Here are the templates for each of these contests:

Cumulative Pool Picks:
Wild Card Week:

Saturday:
Cincinnati @ Houston
Minnesota @ Green Bay
Sunday:
Indianapolis @ Baltimore
Seattle @ Washington
Playoff Bracket:
AFC:

(Wild Card Round)
Bengals (#6) @ Texans (#3)
Colts (#5) @ Ravens (#4)

(Divisional Round)
[highest numbered remaining seed] @ Broncos (#1)
[lowest numbered remaining seed] @ Patriots (#2)

(Division Championship)
[lowest numbered remaining seed] @ [highest numbered remaining seed]

NFC:

(Wild Card Round)
Vikings (#6) @ Packers (#3)
Seahawks (#5) @ Redskins (#4)

(Divisional Round)
[highest numbered remaining seed] @ Falcons (#1)
[lowest numbered remaining seed] @ 49ers (#2)

(Division Championship)
[lowest numbered remaining seed] @ [highest numbered remaining seed]

Super Bowl:
[AFC Champion] vs [NFC Champion]
Bracket Scoring:
Players will get a point for each correct advancement predicted, regardless of the matchup it was in. For example, if they predicted X to beat Y, but instead X beats Z, they still get the point because what matters is that X won.
If a tiebreaker is needed it will be determined by who predicted the most correct matchups. That is where Y and Z would come in.

So now that the playoffs have started, do we still do our picks as normal, or is it now just for y'all who are doing the cumulative pool? :-k
The Lord is not slow about His promise, as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing for any to perish, but for all to come to repentance.

I have no idea what is going on now, so I'll just post my picks and see if someone tells me to send them money or something. >_>

Saturday:
Cincinnati @ Houston (...we can't lose to them in the first round of playoffs two years in a row, right? ...RIGHT!?)
Minnesota @ Green Bay
Sunday:
Indianapolis @ Baltimore
Seattle @ Washington (tough call on this one, RGIII is great but the Seahawks have been phenominal)

How did I not answer this clearly in my previous post? >_>

Only people in the cumulative pool will be making weekly picks now. Other people can do a bracket if they want to, but that is a one time thing.
The Top Crusader wrote:I'll just post my picks and see if someone tells me to send them money or something.
You no longer need to send anyone money with your picks, because these aren’t picks for a weekly contest, they are being added into the cumulative contest which you have already paid for. There are no more weekly winners, so there are no more weekly fees.

I just wanted to clarify. :P Since you aren't in charge of the main thing to begin with, Ryder is, correct?

So I will just sit this out since I'm not in the cumulative pool.
