I get where you’re coming from Jehoshaphat, but there are a couple problems with it.

Taps rejected his theory so bookworm recognized that he will be a threat so he killed Taps.

First, I never had a theory. I didn’t say I thought T.S. was Mafia, I said he was the best choice to vote out regardless of side, in my opinion, at that time.
Second, even if I did have a theory I wouldn’t feel threatened by someone disagreeing with it. Everyone isn’t always going to agree with you, that’s how this game works.

It take's at least little bit of nerve to vote for bookworm on such inconclusive evidence

Indeed it does, as we’ve discussed in the past, so it is strange that he would do so. But I’m not sure if that makes him suspicious at this point though, or just a eyebrow raiser.


I’ve picked up on something that I believe gives a clue to the Mafia’s character this game. I can’t say what it is at this time, (and I know that makes this sound fishy because I’m always telling people to back up their claims, but I really can’t here because it would tip the Mafia off to what this is), and at this time I think the most likely candidates are Jehoshaphat and Joy. There are two Mafia, correct?

It’s not a claim, it’s a deduction. Important distinction. (Because if people think I claimed they were Mafia and they turn out not to be I will be immediately killed next round, as we’ve seen in the past.)
Once the game is over I will probably reveal what it is if it turns out to be correct, but then again if it is correct it may be best not to because it will allow them to cover better in the future. We’ll see.

For now, with the new information that there is one more Mafia and I don’t have one more suspect yet, I will

JC grabbed a small notebook from out of his pack and jotted a couple notes.

and the townies once again rallied
to hear the results, and carry them out
to kill the victim, that's what this was about
And the voice from the sky gave the order
The townies knew that this was the border
between who won, now the sides were equal
If a townie was killed, they would have to try again in the sequel
And the results were: "Kill Jehoshaphat!"
The townies had this routine down pat
They took him, and tied him up, and threw him in
a nearby river, and threw in a fish with a dorsal fin
And soon after it was dark
they checked on the shark
who was surprisingly dead
They noticed words carved into it's skin, and it read:
"Dr. Lilly Graham!
That's who I am!"

The trio smiled, and laughed
And they took the two remaining, the last
bookworm and Joy
and threw them to the coy
And when they saw that wasn't working
They stabbed the two, before they were bolting
and they smiled once again
And Rodney cried "We win!"
the town was now completely mean
because of Young Link, ~JCGJ~, and Samantha14
And they began to pillage the townies' homes
taking silver, gold, jewels, and strangely, garden gnomes
And then they destroyed those houses with a bulldozer
the Bones, they had taken over.

Well, that was fun... I must say though, I think I enjoy being a Townie more... You can actually use your strategy, instead of just using it to cover your tracks... :/

This loss was partly on me I’m afraid. I had been strategizing with the mindset of having two Mafia. If Jehoshaphat was Town I knew JCGJ was Mafia, but I didn’t realize it would end the game to find that out.

I actually already suspected JCGJ as the third, but didn’t have a strong enough reason to mention it.

I suspected that you suspected me, and that's why I planned on having you killed the next night... However, like you said, I didn't realize the game would be over so quickly...


Like I said before though, I enjoy being Town more... The victory (when it happens) is always much more satisfying.

Anyway, bookworm, would you like to share with us the knowledge you picked up on, or are you going to keep it to yourself?

I’ll keep it to myself, since it didn’t turn out to be completely accurate. (It was somewhat, but not enough to have anyone but me worry about it.)

Don’t worry about it, really. Even if it had turned out to be completely accurate, it wasn’t a special formula I discovered to infallibly determine Mafia, nothing concrete, it was just some observations I had made that gave me a picture of what their gameplay was likely like, and therefore who they were more likely to be.

If I were tasked with refining it, I would submit the following:

Rodney sat thinking in his hideout deep,
Counting the people he did not want to keep.
People such as John Whittaker and Constance Kendall,
He was planning just how he would kill them all.
But for now stay in the hideout he must,
For Detective Don Poulhaus' goal was for him to be busted.
