The Plan: ToO Revival
Woody bumped the 6-year-old "What did they say?". A notification email was sent to Mandy Straussberg, and she returned to comment.
What if we could harness Woody's genius idea into a massive plan to bring all the oldbies back?

Haha. I'm not sure if I got a notification email. I was actually brought back by my own attempt at re-engaging with current Odyssey. I started listening to my old episodes and thought, "I wonder what's happened since the reboot." So where would I come to find out? Here of course. No where will I find more honest opinions of what's happened in the last... what, two years?

My plan has been busted.
Mandy, it's good to have you around. If you want to listen to some newer episodes, I recommend Never for Nothing, The Green Ring Conspiracy (a full album) and The Labyrinth (3-parter).

If you use that meme to promote it I'm all in! That's one of my favorite...

if you want notifications for the topics you post in, go to "User Control Panel", then "Board preferences" and then "Edit posting defaults".Buzz wrote:I didn't know you could even get notification emails!
If you want to get notifications only to specific topics, PM me and ill tell you how.

Had I ever been elected, my first act would have been to eliminate the no-bumping rule anyway. Old topics all 'round!

Yeah...but who has notification emails turned on like that? I turned them off waaaaaaaaaay back in the day when I would get like 100 of them a day. "New user has registered" "New post in your topic" "New private message" ...GAH!
Me. I don't remember which threads I post in so I use notifications to keep track of conversations.EK wrote:Yeah...but who has notification emails turned on like that? Yeah, but notifications make it easy.
On my phone:
1. Hit "mail"
2. Open an email.
3. Click the link.
Lovely.

I get the emails, but only on a few topics, I usually just delete them without opening them, because now I have the url bookmarked. But for a while that was way easier than logging on via google.

Um, you can turn off the notification feature.
Why do you even need them?American Eagle wrote:I get around 100 notification emails per day. It lets me know when topics have been replied to. Isn't that enough?
