So, I want to hear your oppinions!

I use the second one on the very rare occasions I use the word.

THIS, which wasn't on the poll, so I picked #1 which was similar.

It has been added.

You may change your vote, or just keep it.

Either way works.

(Apparently, when you cahnge a poll, it erases all the votes, so please, revote. Sorry about that.)

I pronounce it correctly: vee-im-int
I can’t tell if that’s one of the options.

Questions:

Where is the stress?
Is it VEE-im-int, vee-IM-int, or vee-im-INT?

If it's VEE-im-int, that's be fairly close to option three, I believe.

*pronounces it to himself several times*
There isn’t any. It’s just one tone. If I have to single one out it would be on the ‘vee’ but it’s next to imperceptible.

No, because it’s nothing close to 'uh' it’s all 'ih' like in 'mint' both times. Vee-im-int.

Let me clarify what the "uh" represents...

The "uh" is basically like that upside-down "e" in the dictionary, so it would be closest to the first one.

Do you want me to Google, copy, and paste an upside-down "e," so it makes more sense?

If that’s what you meant by that, then yes that would be closest. But it’s not pronounced ‘uh’ so I was confused. Because some people to pronounce it vee-uh-munt, so I thought that’s what you meant there.

According to A Dictionary of Modern English Usage by Oxford University Press, Fourth Printing, 1950 (which I just happened to come across and purchase at a rummage sale two days ago) I was correct. Both vowels are pronounced ‘ih’ like in ‘him’ and the ‘h’ is never heard. (So it’s not ‘vee-him-int’)

It’s not arrogance. I’m not saying my way is right because it’s mine, I just happen to personally say it the linguistically correct way. Ergo, my way is correct.
