If you have a statement you would like me to analyze, post it here. If you’re right, I will agree. If not, I will prove you’re wrong.

Musical preference cannot be right or wrong as it always depends on individual tastes, even more so with college songs as there are school and team loyalties to consider that lend bias.

That said, a quick search of the internet shows that when lists of the best fight songs are compiled, Michigan’s is consistently either at or very near the top. This doesn’t prove its superiority, as statements of opinion cannot be proven one way or the other, but it does indicate that general consensus is in agreement with you.

Interesting fact: During the presidency of Gerald Ford, a Michigan alumnus, Michigan’s fight song replaced Hail to the Chief as the presidential theme.

That is neither false nor true, or alternatively is both true and false, depending on your preference.

If “This statement is false.” is true, then the statement would be false, making it true, making it false, ad infinitum.
If “This statement is false.” is false, then the statement would be true, making it false, making it true, ad infinitum.

A number of people have put forth resolutions to this paradox, but they necessitate accounting for more than what is strictly stated in the statement, so I did not consider those in this case. However if I were to do so, I favor Arthur Prior’s assertion as it seems the most logically sound to me.

Is there such a thing as infinity (in our natural world... Don't bring God into it this time, because we all know that God is infinite, etc.)?

Are there limits on how big or small something can get?

Is this a followup to my analysis or a new question? Because this isn’t an ‘ask a question’ thread, I’m only analyzing statements.

Fine... Be picky, why don't ya...:P

"Infinity exists in our natural world, and is a perfectly viable and probable idea."

How's that?

To respond to that in the way I believe you’re looking for you would need to add some specific direction to your statement. As it reads now, the answer is simple. Yes, of course infinity exists. Try counting to the last number. (Don’t actually try it, because there isn’t one.)

I have a few questions:

If someone with multiple personalities threatens to kill himself, is it considered a hostage situation?

Is there another word for synonym?

Those are good questions, but as I said this is not a question thread. This is a place to have statements of fact, or alleged fact, analyzed logically to see if they hold up.

Edit:

You may resubmit your questions in this thread if you wish.

This statement is false. Life is not a box of anything, life is life. If one were to modify the statement to the famous line “Life is like a box of chocolates” it would change from a statement to a simile, which is a literary device used to illustrate a concept and not meant to be taken literally. In that case the truth of it would depend on each individual’s interpretation of the validity of the simile.
