Page 501 – top “Goof Alert” – I think that this could be counted as a character lie rather than a real goof. Curt is a clever guy who usually puts up a good façade, and therefore might throw in references to normal family things, such as his mom packing his lunch, even if he or his dad were really the ones who packed it. I wouldn’t put it past Curt to cover his real life like that. I remember noticing this “goof” years ago, but I like my explanation better than calling it a goof!

Agreed. Character honesty can often account for these slip-ups.
