I liked this first episode of the AIO Blogcast--humorous and to the point. The two co-hosts had great chemistry and knew what they were talking about. I liked that the podcast wasn't over-produced or too long. I'm looking forward to the next installment!
I was, like Austin, initially disappointed that the attack on the convent was cut in the audio version of Darien's Rise. But after thinking it over, I concluded that it was the right choice for a program for a family audience. The scene in the book was too violent and quite visual. A man being burned to death (accompanied by "agonizing cries"), a sword being run through Dawn, a man hitting Anna on the head? Probably a bit too much for the ears of younger children and unnecessary for the storyline.
The calling up scene makes it absolutely clear that Darien's Rise parallels the story of David by revealing the real name of The Old Judge. Perhaps this also attempts to justify this intense scene, as parents understand that The Old Judge is based on the Biblical character on Samuel and thus this scene is vital to the story.
Great job on your pilot episode, Austin! It's nice to see someone else producing their own show. I guess this means Sarah and I can stop, right?
For the record, the attack on the convent is not any longer on the CD version of Darien's Rise. Which, as Dave mentioned, probably wasn't the worst thing in the world.
Looking forward to hearing your next podcast!

What a fun "blogcast!" I really like Austin and Tasha: you guys have a weird sense of humor that is good either scripted or unscripted, and it's nice to hear a brother and sister co-hosting a podcast together. I'm hoping that you will make your podcast a regular occurrence.
But, I do have one question: what other O. Henry stories has AIO done? I was racking my mind to think of what shows Tasha was referring to, but drew a blank.

Good podcast, guys! Loved all your rantings about the new AIO logo and new look for Eugene. You guys should find more AIO-related things you have a strong opinion of, because such discussions are fun to listen to.
Hear me and Tasha's review of the Inspiration Station eps. http://www.archive.org/download/AioBlog ... stEp.4.mp3 Also, stay tuned for more details about our BIG surprise!

After over a 2 month break, Austin & Tasha are back for Season 2 of the Blogcast. In the 11th episode, Austin & Natasha talk about the upcoming Album 52 and speculate about what they expect from the new season. Plus get introduced to a new guest host and listen to a very funny blooper reel!

Dude, the podcast is pretty cool, but you HAVE to listen to the the heart cast! I have to say The heart cast is probably better.

If you see the post on the blog itself, you'll see some cool extras!
Great podcast, guys! I laughed at the second photo on your blog, PK.
