...Have you read in one day, week, or month? I remember once when I was younger I was "banned" from taking books out of the library 'cause I'd take out 99 in the past couple of weeks and hadn't returned any yet... Thankfully, I was rescued as we'd brought back a load that day; after they were checked back in I was able to max out my limit again! \:D/

I read over 100 books in a week once. I was in 4th grade and was reading about 6-9 hours a day for a reading contest at school.
Those books were probably 100-250 pages long then though.

Whoa - I've never heard of a library that allows someone to have 99 books checked out at once.

In my earlier years, I could probably read a few short books in a day. But now it takes me anywhere from three days to a couple weeks to finish a book, which is likely due to the fact that I don't spend more than an hour reading on any given day. So much to do and so little time in which to do it. :x

The limit per card for us is 40 books. Once we actually picked out over 40 books, so we just got another card. :-

At my library there's not a limit. When I was little and went to the library, which I never do anymore, I got out a ton of books and movies.

At our old library our limit was 100 books, but now here it's only like 25 or 30 books. I usually read between 4-8 good books a week (depending on the size of the book).

I don't know how many our library allows us to take out. I've never maxed out my card before because I tend to be a slow reader, but my sister checks out 40+ books at a time usually, so I know the limit is above that.

(And like said, I'm a slow reader so I haven't a record for how many books I've read in a certain amount of time.)

The only concrete limits my library has on material checkouts is on movies and video games; those are five per card and three per card, respectively. Everything else has a "limit" of around 75 - 80, but I've never known anyone to check out that many at a time. We do it mainly for the teachers in town, for when they're doing a class project or something.

At my library there's limit's on holiday books during the holidays. Like at Christmas you're only allowed 5 Christmas books, at Halloween you're only allowed 5 Halloween books, and the same goes for valentines day and other holidays.
