It depends on how the book is written. I mean, the last book I read was 448 pages, and I read it in maybe 4 or 5 hours, but then, it's a bestseller type book where the pages seem to go by really fast. And then there are books that are slower to read, because of the style of writing. I mentioned in my review of "A String in the Harp" that it took a while to get into it. It's 384 pages, but it took me a couple of days to read it, because it just wasn't that interesting for a good while into the book.

I agree with you. It depends on the author and the story.

It takes me roughly thirty minutes to read sixty pages...

I got the 784-page Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows at 1 PM, and had finished it by 8 AM the next morning. No sleeping breaks in there. :-

Fairly fast, I've been known to read 300-500 page books in a few hours.. Depends on how heavy the reading is too. non-fiction and books with language that is more difficult to understand slow me down a bit.

I think if you cut the sleep hours I did, I probably read the book in 6-8 hours.

When I have the time, I'll read a good book in a few hours straight. Most recently, I just read "Coming Attractions" by Robin Jones Gunn last night (well, technically this morning O:) ), devouring the 299 pages in a bit under 3 hours. It would have been nice if those hours weren't from around 2-5 a.m. but hey, it was totally worth it! \:D/ (I was going to post a review, but I don't think I could do it without ruining the book for other fans.)

I like reading books the same way some people take their time while eating their meals so they can savor it. \:D/

Okay, okay. I'm a slow reader. :(

It depends on the book, but I can usually read a good book (depending on its size) in a couple of hours straight.

When I was younger, my comprehension suffered because I tried to speed through too quickly, so then I slowed down. Now I'm a bit faster, but not too fast. Average, maybe?

My sister can read faster than me, sadly. Whenever she got a Harry Potter book for her birthday, she'd start it and finish it in three days. Or two, if she was really just reading.

It depends on the book. If I like a certain book, I can finish it in a few days. If I'm not indulged in it, then it may take longer. The fastest I've read a book was in a day. It wasn't a small book either. 70 Chapters, over 300 pages... it was soo good though! Though, these days, I've read so many books on King David, I could tell you the story without looking in the Bible! (The book was about Bathsheba... Tracy A. Morgan knows how to write!)

But, it depends on the book... it takes me weeks to finish Harry Potter books... and a few CSI books... I read My Sister's Keeper in about a week... because I couldn't read straight through. And the book was half boring... (oops)... But, yeah...

Depends, size of pages, size of print, how interesting the book is, what my schedule is that day, etc.
