Are there any books that you started reading but never finish them?

Oh so many...

*Saving Graces by Elizabeth Edwards... if I ever finish it, I'll party!
*Ruth & Boaz - I got halfway... but it um... lost its appeal...
*Sin City by Max Allen Collins.... Brittni spilled it, so halfway through I didn't feel like reading the rest and never did...
*Showdown by Ted Dekker - I may own it and its predicessor... but no way was I finishing that one. Three chapters in I found it boring... I may start is again... after all my other amazing books I want to read...
*Walk Across the Sea - I don't know what happened... I was liking it up until the last few chapters... and then I just put it down and never picked it up again... and it has been years since I started it. I remember the beginning so vividly too....

The one book I remember not finishing was All Creatures Great and Small. I was really looking forward to reading that whole series...I love animals and others recommended those books so I thought they'd be great. I did enjoy the stories, and it was definitely a book that I would have loved to finish. HOWEVER, I found it had bad language throughout. :( I kept on reading for several chapters, hoping that it would get better, but it did not. I finally just laid it down and decided not to finish it. :(

I just don't understand why an author feels the need to foul up a perfectly nice book with completely unnecessary language. :x
