Newbie moment.......

When you send a PM and it just sits in your outbox for days, does that mean the recipient had actually received it, or that it is just really sitting in your inbox? If so, how do you send it? Sometimes my replies will go to sent almost immediately, but now I have messages that are just sitting in my outbox not going anywhere........




And just to make reading this thread worth your time, since it is sort of mundane--YOU ARE AWESOME!!!!!!! \:D/

"Outbox" means they haven't gotten it yet.

"Sent" means they opened it.

"Inbox" means its in a box.

I didn't know that! I only ever look at my inbox - I ignore the other stuff. Should I go there and delete stuff, or does it not really matter?

I wouldn't go deleting stuff in your Outbox if you expect people to receive your PMs. ;)

I like to keep my sent PMs available as a reference. But I probably should delete some of the 480+ messages. :anxious:

Mine too! It boggles my mind when people talk about 400+ messages or whatever in their box....with the exception of Shadowpaw who I expect to have at least that many.

I periodically clear out my inbox, saving some, deleting others... so it's only 5% full at the moment. But my sentbox is 99% full. :shock:

Did someone mess with the numbers? :-s I could've sworn that I was at 40-something percent in my inbox just the other day and now I'm at 87% :anxious: I wouldn't say that I've received more PM's than "normal." Probably less actually. :-k

My sentbox is 97% full! :shock:

I moved the limit back down to 500. Really, 500 should be more than enough for most people and the 1000 limit was fairly excessive ;). I was the only person who needed it. But I have since completely deleted every message I had, so I'm back to 0% (well, now it's back at 10% but it was 0 yesterday ;)).

The savebox, however, is still 1000.

Very well, it's back to 1000. It's not like we are running out of space or anything ;). I just figured people didn't like wading through 20 pages of private messages, though I guess those people can just clear out their inbox every few days.
