Concerning Factions
Correct me if I'm wrong in any of the assumptions I'm making in this post.
So, here goes. Originally, I intended to join the Israelites. However, for reasons I'll explain later in the post, I discarded the idea and considered the Bones of Rath. Not that the idea held any particular appeal to me, especially after watching that little run-in Eugene Kendall and Rodney had in Gower's Field earlier today. The idea of having a coward as my faction leader wasn't one I really wanted to entertain too long.
HOWEVER. I know that in the next week or so, the population of the Israelites is going to rise dramatically. And I mean dramatically. And from experience (in several games, websites, and real-life incidents), I know that clans/guilds/factions overflowing with members is little more than a rather unruly crowd(again, correct me if I'm wrong in this case) and works far less efficiently than a small, but well-organized group does.
We all know it's going to take forever (or a lot of spam) to gather the funds to start a new faction. Therefore, I'm making a suggestion: Could there be another ("non-user-created") small faction of freelancers or something of the sort?

A "mellow" faction wasn't what I exactly had in mind. I was thinking more along the lines of a "mysterious", freelancer group that doesn't side with either faction but can unexpectedly show up at the unlikeliest times and help either one out, depending on circumstances or even simple whims... =p A Jedi Order faction does sound good, though.

I'm open to creating a "freelancer" faction. Originally I just figured people who wanted to be in the middle would simply not join a faction. Since joining a faction of freelancers would seem to defeat the purpose. However, I'm willing to open one up if someone can come up with a clever name and group... Odyssey related .

I think that's a good name for the middle ground group. Owl could stand for something...like:Monday wrote:You could be the kids that run the OWL or something?

Sorry that's all I could think of.
