Signatures and Avatars

Help me PLEASE!!!

If there's something on your mind that just doesn't seem to fall into any of the other categories, well, it quite likely belongs inside Joe Finneman's marketplace. Think of it as a general store for general discussions!

Signatures and Avatars

Post by Johnny »

Ok I was wondering if anybody had references to making signatures and avatars? I really need help with that type of stuff and I would like to be independent when it comes to doing stuff like this. So it would be greatly appreciated if I could get some help regarding this. :nods:

I know half the factions are dead. lol but I just use Photoshop, and lots of ppl use a freeware called GIMP I think to make graphic siggy/avvys.

For reference I think it's:
Siggy: 400x100 pxls
Avvy: 100x100 pxls

That's right isn't it? :anxious:

well, the GDF has been ramping up in activity again, and there is still a good amount of advice to be gleaned from the old topics
yes, those sig/av limits are correct.
"Sonuna" Taranimak ("Sonuna" Sharkquill) has been content lately. She admired own very fine Bed recently. She talked with a parent recently. She talked with a friend recently. She had a good meal recently. She admired a fine tastefully-arranged Desk recently.
She is a citizen of The United States of America. She is a member of The State of Minnesota. She is a member of The Town of Odyssey.
"Sonuna" Taranimak likes Bauxite, Copper, Green jade, the color navy, cloaks, ballistas, cats for their aloofness and hydras for their seven heads. When possible, she prefers to consume Dr Pepper and ramen.
She lives at a relaxed pace. She tends to avoid crowds. She has a fertile imagination. She is completely disorganized. She is very distant and reserved. She tends not to openly express emotions. She needs caffeine to get through the working day.

I just try to be as creative as HP PhotoImpression will allow me. Most of the time my stuff turns out "...ehhh...", but on a couple occasions I nail it.

Thanks. I can't take credit for my icon, though; someone else made it and I found it on LiveJournal. Unfortunately I can't for the life of me remember who made it. Of my homemade icons I haven't found one I like well enough to use here yet.

I don't change mine too often; I like to use my favorite book characters or topics. *cough* Maximum Ride *cough* :anxious: I always use Photobucket, Paint, and occasionally Gimp to make my sets. I never go that fancy though; I just use lots of pre-existing art. :-

I ought to change up my set... :-k

If you wanna get really basic you can use paint. find an image you like and crop it till it fits the size width.

and anna><> to get an image in your sig just put the tags with the url to the picture between them.
