My Role at the Town Hall
A new phase of my life
My Role at the Town Hall
Everyone,
For several years I have served as both a moderator and administrator at the Town Hall. I remember a time when the Town Hall was text based, the color scheme was purplish green, the logo featured Eugene Meltsner hanging from a rope in a silouhette, and I was referred to as the "new kid" who had recently started The Soda Fountain. I have a lot of great memories from my time on the Town Hall staff, but I've been needing a change for many, many months and today, I am officially stepping down from that role. With an opportunity to express myself creatively and freely on a new board, I feel there is no better time to do so.
I'm not naive and I understand that this board is quite popular now but it probably won't always be that way. However, I would still like to fully devote myself to the Town of Odyssey and ensure it continues to grow exponentially in content, members, and overall fun-factor. The Town Hall will continue to be the Town Hall without me (and from the looks of things, perhaps a slightly more modern Town Hall now than its been for the past 2 years) but the ToO is my new home and I look forward to starting with a clean slate. Besides, stepping down may open the door for another member to become a moderator or administrator over there and I don't think it's fair that I should have a hand in running both boards.
I would like to thank Xhan, Jared, Hawkeye, Coralfish, Amadeo, Top Crusader, Arthur Dent, and Continental Admiral for putting up with me over the years. We certainly have a lot of fun behind closed doors and yet, everyone one of them brings something different to the administrative table. With that said, I wish them all the best of luck and will never forget my time on the Town Hall board of administrators.
Sincerely,
Shadowpaw

Lyric:
Saying goodbye, going away
Seems like goodbye's such a hard thing to say
Touching a hand, wondering why
It's time for saying goodbye
Saying goodbye, why is it sad?
Makes us remember the good times we've had
Much more to say, foolish to try
It's time for saying goodbye
Dont want to leave, but we both know
Sometimes it's better to go
Somehow I know we'll meet again
Not sure quite where, and I dont know just when
You're in my heart, so until then
Wanna smile, wanna cry
Saying goodbye
La la la la la la la la
It's time for saying goodbye.

Thanks for your effort at Town Hall. You were a great admin there. I'm 'samwise' by the way.

I shall miss you in the TH...starts singing this song...
Packing up the dreams God planted
In the fertile soil of you
Can’t believe the hopes he’s granted
Means a chapter in your life is through
But we’ll keep you close as always
It won’t even seem you’ve gone
’cause our hearts in big and small ways
Will keep the love that keeps us strong
Chorus:
And friends are friends forever
If the lord’s the lord of them
And a friend will not say never
’cause the welcome will not end
Though it’s hard to let you go
In the father’s hands we know
That a lifetime’s not too long to live as friends.
With the faith and love god’s given
Springing from the hope we know
We will pray the joy you’ll live in
Is the strength that now you show
But we’ll keep you close as always
It won’t even seem you’ve gone
’cause our hearts in big and small ways
Will keep the love that keeps us strong
Chorus

Thanks for all the work you did at the Town Hall. It wouldn't have been as well-established as it is now if it weren't for you. And...of course, thanks for starting up the Town of Odyssey!
or perhaps not....
Quoted from David O during one of the TH elections. It seems quite appropriate for the occasion. The Kahuna rocks.
