What languages do you know and want to learn?

If there's something on your mind that just doesn't seem to fall into any of the other categories, well, it quite likely belongs inside Joe Finneman's marketplace. Think of it as a general store for general discussions!

What languages do you know and want to learn?

Post by AIOfan11 »

I am learning Latin, and the Greek alphebat. This summer I'm going to take a little Sign Language (did you know that at some College's they accept that as a language?). My Sign Language class won't be much, but after that I would really like to dig deeper.

Oh, and I know English!

O:) Ha, ha!

American Sign Language. :)

I did ASL for about a year, and then got bored, because I wasn't allowed to talk in class. :P

Currently, the only language I can speak is French(I started 3 years ago in 4th grade...) and, of course, English. I'll have to take spanish though, when I go to school, since it is the only other language they offer, besides German. Aw, phooey.

I can't really think of any other languages I'd like to speak currently, but *shrug* I'm sure I have some that I'd like to learn. :P

Heh, I meant asking questions. She made us do it all in sign language. #-o And let me tell you, I didn't even know my "s" from my "a" :P

Of course, french is the same, but we're still allowed to talk... just in french. To the teacher of course. ;)

Really? In only a year? ASL1 and ASL2 I'm assuming. Here, they only make you do that in ASL4, then after that you have a deaf teacher.

English! :D

Just started French this past year . . . planning to take French II with TPS. When you're dad's billingual, it certainly helps the learning process.

I'd also really like to learn Mandarin, but I don't know if I'll get that far . . .

Currently I know English. I Really want to learn German. My Mom has a friend in Germany so I could probably go over there for a while once I have some German under my belt.

Hey, my friend does that school! Cool.

Yeah, I'd really like it if my dad was bilingual... it might help a little... Instead, I'm dealing with a sister who is taking spanish, a brother taking italian, and my parents who ONLY speak english.

Oh, italian... That's the other language I wanted to take. #-o
