And I have no idea what you said in the other part.

"That date format" is what the majority of the world uses, as you no doubt know, dearest bookworm. And since many people overseas use the 24-hour clock, 9:26 p.m. translates to 2156 to avoid the inconvenient and unnecessary use of the am/pm sign.

It doesn't matter how many people use it, I said you can't make pi with it anymore.

And I thought you were referencing the 24 hour clock, but there was no confusion with AM or PM here because either one works, all you need are the digits.

In other words, your objections to reading the day and time this way are baseless as it must be done this way in order to arrive at Pi Day.
You can't say something is the wrong way to do something if there isn't another option.

Again, supporting my point, not yours. Pi Day doesn't work a lot of places/ways, making it necessary to view it the way it does work if you want to celebrate it. It's something you make work, because you want to have fun.

No, no, no. We don't "make it work" and suddenly adopt the American dating system; there's a bit of an, "Oh-it's-Pi-Day-for-US-math-nerds" vibe going, actually. It's a bit like Mother's Day; it's a very American holiday, since the UK celebrates Happy Mothering Sunday, which was just this past Sunday, but no one suddenly says, "Oh, let's pretend that it's really Mothering Sunday on the second Sunday of May!"

Marvin. No one is making you celebrate Pi Day. No one is making you use the American dating system. No one is making you eat delicious pie. No one is even suggesting that you should. Guess what? America uses the American dating system. So why shouldn't we have a little fun eating pie on March 14? I really don't see what your problem is here. If you don't want to celebrate Pi Day, fine. But don't criticize us for doing so.

Finding that gif made me look if there were any actual Pi Day parody videos because I wanted to hear a full song. And there are; way more than I expected there to be. I picked out a few I thought were the best.


This one I think has the best lyrics of the ones I watched, keeping it about pi.




This one doesn’t have great lyrics, as far as pi goes, but the video itself is really good. And it’s intentionally 3:14 long which is pretty cool.
This is less of a spoof turning Friday to Pi Day and really a parody of the Friday video itself. The rap part especially made me laugh.




And this one had the best bridge I thought. The first video was stretching a bit there, this one was reasonable, and it even throws in a Friday reference.
