ToO Annual Fantasy Football - Year 4!
What really did you in, Laura, was playing both the Patriots kicker and the Bengals D. They completely countered each other out because every time he gained points they lost points, to such an extreme extent that they actually went negative meaning it started taking points away from the kicker as he kept adding on.

Yeah, after the Panthers D had gotten me negative points 2 weeks in a row, the one week I started the Bengals D THEY got negative points! 18 points from the Panthers on my bench. Ugh.

Ouch! >_> I know all too well the pain of those kinds of misplays, when you think you're doing the right thing.

Come on Brian Quick, 24 points in the next 6 minutes.

I seriously can’t believe this.
This was a trap game. My guys yet to lose, KF yet to win, and projected to be extremely close all the way through. He had a monster performance on Thursday, I had monster games at QB and Defense on Sunday, then he had the final say with a player Monday night, still projected to be neck and neck, but for some reason the guy did absolutely nothing, so the final score is not a reflection of how close the week really was.
I seriously can’t believe this.

If anyone has a high risk/reward player to trade for a solid asset, I'm all ears.

How's that? Can't you only play one?John Chrysostom wrote:You'd probably get more points

It's totally possible... you would just need a RB who doubles as a kicker.bookworm wrote:Knight Fisher wrote:I'm considering just dropping all my RBs and picking up kickers at this point. How's that? Can't you only play one?John Chrysostom wrote:You'd probably get more points

Would he get points for that if you play him in a RB slot though? I thought we determined earlier that RBs who return kicks don't get those stats, only the ST.

Haha I have no idea. That situation will probably never come up.

I'm hoping I can keep up my 100 scores through week 9 and hand bookworm his first loss haven't lost since week two.

After tonight, I'll have 3 wins in a row. I started the season off really poorly... largely because I drafted really, really poorly.
Bad draft choices:
1: Calvin Johnson - injured & out indefinitely
4: Robert Griffin - CUT
6: Vernon Davis - CUT
7: Chris Johnson - CUT
12: Maurice Jones-Drew - CUT
13: Greg Jennings - CUT
15: Mason Crosby - CUT but resigned
16: Patriots D/ST - CUT
I was wrong on a lot of players.

This one was never in question.
As expected EK has taken his annual leave of absence, making his dormant team an easy win barring some fluke performances. This week he played someone who was out and someone on a bye, so zero points for two spots right off the bat.
This one was never in question.

EK, unless you return and show an interest in the rest of this season, you will probably have to sit out next year.

You made the right decision to keep him in though. Remember that we needed to keep one of the three questionables and he was the most reasonable. He was originally around. (Though he always is at the start, he leaves a few weeks in.) If we had gone with either of the other teams they would have been inactive from the very start.

True. I don't understand his motive. He showed up for the draft, but I don't think he actually said anything. I do hope he returns.

I hope he returns now, so you guys don’t get easy wins, then leaves again when I face him again.

PSA: The Detroit vs Atlanta game will be in London. Kickoff is at 9:30 AM. Players for that game lock five minutes ahead of that.

What a week!
Whew, gia sure did his best to play spoiler this week! I knew this would be a closer matchup than the projections indicated because he had some solid players while several of mine were, I felt, projected generously high. And sure enough he had two positions put up monster games and another a very good one. Fortunately I had enough big games of my own to counter.
Despite multiple disappointments in performance, enough came through for me. Rodgers put up a good score despite having probably his worst game of the season, Ingram outperformed his already high projection to compensate for Nelson’s shocking nonexistence, and Brown showed up in the clutch like he always does.
And what solidified it was another defensive choice that paid off. I knew I wanted this matchup for the Dolphins D for sure, no consideration anywhere else. So I picked them up weeks ago, just to have them hang around on the bench to ensure I had them available to make the play this week. And it worked out even better than I had expected! I was certain they would have a huge game, but they had an absolutely monster game; I’m sure this is the best D score I’ve ever had.
