I once again take my man Rodgers with my first pick, despite not having the first overall pick this year, and also him not actually being my number one ranked pick. But the people I had ahead were already taken, as I assumed they would be, so it fell to him and I’m good with it. Since I’m still pretty much clueless about this, the only thing I knew for sure I wanted out of the draft was to once more secure the Rodgers and Nelson combination, which I did, so I’m happy!
My draft results (picking #5):

I'm feeling pretty good about my Peyton Manning/Julius Thomas combo right now.

I'm not. What's with throwing to Julius when he should be throwing to Demaryius?!
Ugh, my team is doing terribly....

Peyton and Julius were hanging out before the game and were like "Hey, wouldn't it be awesome if I threw you three touchdowns before the half? Yeah that would be pretty sweet, let's do that."
I have some questions on how yardage points break down.
1) If a QB makes a throw down the field and the receiver doesn’t catch it, but there is a flag for pass interference so the offense gets to advance those yards anyway, do those yards count for the QB as passing yards?
2) Do all yards from a play count for all players involved, or only yards they each actually earn? For example if the QB throws a 10 yard pass, then the WR catches it and runs for another 10 yards, do they each get scored for 10 or does either and/or both get the whole 20?
3) If a player you have as a RB catches a reception does he get scored those yards, or no because it wasn’t a running play?

1 Nope. They don't.
2 They both get points for 20.
3 They do get the points however receiving yards are considered separate. So if he had 39 yards running and 11 catching that would only be 4 points total.
That Denver combo was ridiculous.
I will now be dropping Ray Rice as fast as possible.

As a followup to 3 then, what if it's one of those do-it-all guys that is primarily a RB, but is also thrown to sometimes and also returns kicks?

He gets points for all his yards. I don't think he gets anything for kick returns though. Kick returns touchdowns... not sure. Maybe. http://games.espn.go.com/ffl/leaguesetu ... eId=152811

I don't think my team could have done much worse this week. They had better shape up!
The kick returns for a touchdown just falls under the D/ST if I remember right from last year. Because I had someone do that, I believe, and it wasn't counted in my points, just under that team's D/ST points. But there is a category for all Return TDs, so it seems like it SHOULD count...

Week 1:

I won!

Question about acquisitions now.
Hopefully you can follow this. I want to be sure to get a new player of position ‘Y’ for next week’s lineup. Therefore I submit two requests to the waiver system. I request to pickup up free agent A in exchange for player X on my roster, then I request to pickup free agent B in exchange for the same player X on my roster. The idea being that if someone else ahead of me in waivers takes A, I still get B, and they are both being exchanged for player X because regardless of which one I end up getting that is the only player I want to drop.
Is my thinking correct that when it comes time to resolve, if free agent A is still there it will swap him for player X, and then when it gets to the second request it will just ignore it since I no longer have player X to swap for free agent B? And if A was taken before my turn, it would go ahead with B for X as if the first request had never been submitted?

Knight Fisher, are you tracking Adrian Peterson's indictment?

Yeah. I'm considering just dropping all my RBs and picking up kickers at this point.
