ToO Annual Fantasy Football - Year 4!

If there's something on your mind that just doesn't seem to fall into any of the other categories, well, it quite likely belongs inside Joe Finneman's marketplace. Think of it as a general store for general discussions!

That's about when we did it last year I believe. You want to leave plenty of time between the draft and the start of the season for setting up your team once you know what players you have.

I like a live draft...evenings, 8 pm est and after are best for me. I won't be available on the weekend of the 15-17. (Company coming...)

Thank you commissioner!
I didn’t really expect something to be done about SWA, I just had to go on record as officially protesting. But the trade issue I did sincerely want addressed.

The draft is set for this Saturday night (8/23)! 9PM EST, 6PM PST.

I know this date may not work for everyone. I did my best to find the most available time. If you can't make it, be sure to set your "Pre-Draft Player Rankings" so that you can get as many as your favs as possible. \:D/

Basically, it looks likes our teams are going to be the same as last year.
  1. American Eagle (Avid Echos) - confirmed
  2. Knight Fisher (Texas Staleys) - confirmed
  3. E II (Bench Coolers) - confirmed
  4. bookworm (bookworm's team) - confirmed
  5. Laura Ingalls (Winoka Warriors) - confirmed
  6. John Chrysostom (Constantinople Chrysostoms) - confirmed
  7. godisawesomeness99 - confirmed
  8. Skylerbuck (Canadian Nationals) - in question
  9. EK (Gainesville Behemoths) - in question
  10. Stop Wooton Around & friend? (Southwood Knights) - in question
EK, Skylerbuck and SWA are obviously unconfirmed, but it'd probably be easier to keep them in the league than to play with 7. Maybe they will show up?

What do you guys think? Should we keep them in the league?

I wouldn't...since they haven't even posted here. What if they get the first few picks and get some of the good players that are then stuck on those teams with nobody even using or caring about the team?

That's just my opinion though....so whatever you decide. ;)

If they are still unconfirmed at this point they definitely need to be dropped, as Laura said they would clog the draft. Don't we need an even number though?

We definitely need an even number otherwise there will be a team on bye every week, which is exceedingly boring.

Then for now drop the two most questionable, and try to find someone else to join for sure to replace the third.

Thanks for the feedback. I agree that less is more, and I agree that we need an even number.

Care to share your opinion on which I should drop?

Hopefully someone will join or return before Saturday. If things remain the same, I'll pick two to drop (or remove them randomly).

I decided to remove Stop Wooton' Around and Skylerbuck from the 2014 league. SWA hasn't posted for several months, and Skylerbuck hasn't even posted in 2014. EK, on the other hand, posted only a few days ago, so it is feasible that he may join us at some point.

Also, that resulted in there being 5 teams in the West and only 3 in the East. I decided to move GIA99 over to my side of the league. Welcome, buddy. ;)

So yeah... the draft is in 4 hours! Be there or be stuck with Ryan Leaf! \:D/
