Cubs/Giants KF/bookworm showdown!

I've been eagerly anticipating tomorrow's Giants game for months because it's the first of the season that I get on tv. This morning I double checked the start time and noticed that low and behold they happen to be facing KF's Cubs. I couldn't let this special happenstance go to waste and invited him to come by the Chatroom if he could. He said he will if he is able. And now I'm inviting all of you!

I don't usually hype up random midseason games (Not for lack of desire; I'd love it if people dropped by for just a regular match now and then, of any sport, but generally it's just the big events like championships that bring them in) but this one actually has a lot of factors going for it that I thought might make it a draw. It's at least worth advertising since he and I will be there whether anyone else is or not.

First, it's two ToOer's teams facing off. That's always fun and may generate some community interest for that reason alone from people that might otherwise not care about the actual event itself. But if you do have any interest in baseball, this particular matchup is noteworthy. The Cubs have come out strong in a season that many think is their best chance to win, while the Giants are seeking a fourth straight even year championship. This literal clash of destinies could be a pivotal moment for both clubs. And it's on free tv (Fox) so everyone can join in the fun if they want to follow along, which is important.

It was very fun! I'm so glad it happened to work out that this game was this matchup. It made an already highly anticipated event even more special!
