Miniature Font

If there's something on your mind that just doesn't seem to fall into any of the other categories, well, it quite likely belongs inside Joe Finneman's marketplace. Think of it as a general store for general discussions!

What is your opinion of the use of really small font?

I love it!

Miniature Font

Post by Catspaw »

Am I the only one who finds it really annoying when the small font sizes that are unreadable are used, and then you have to click the quote button to see what the person said? I'm a curious person, so I have a really hard time deciding to just ignore it, but I get kind of irritated that I have to take an extra step to read part of somebody's message.

I like it as well, as long as it stays at 7 point (like this: I'll bet you can't read me!) or larger. 7 point font is relatively easy to read, and most people could probably decipher it without even moving their mouses (or is that mice?) an inch toward the Quote button.

Why do I like it? ...I don't really know. It's just funny in some way.

If and when used in the appropriate situations, miniature font can be rather amusing. Of course, if it is overused . . . then it can become somewhat annoying.

*points up to Trent's post*

I agree... I don't mind if people use it to act like they're whispering, but it really gets un-nerving to to have to figure out what it says (via the "quote" button), when the ENTIRE post is like that. :P

I voted for "I see it and want to injure somebody"...........of course that only applies when I'm not doing it myself

EK, there is such a thing as being too clever for your own good, you know! ;)

It's nice to know that I'm not the only one who finds it kind of annoying.

You can just PM if you want to be sneaky, you know. ;) Unless you're typing some hidden remark that only you can see and chuckle at.

The only place where I really don't mind it is if someone is posting a spoiler and wants people to choose wether or not they want to see it.

To see the small stuff, I don't use the quote button. I just copy and paste the small test into the address bar in my browser. Just don't accidentally hit enter.

As long as you can read it, it's great for effect. Otherwise, it's downright annoying

Indeed, font size "0" would be invisible to the naked eye, EK. :D

Of course, you could always use the white font color. ;)

Egad! I never thought of using the quote button! I used to go and copy it and then open up word and then paste it to read it. Got so tired of doing that, that if I couldn't read someone's tiny font, I didn't even try.
