Although I also happen to be third-generation, as both my parents and grandparents were born in Canada. Heh. Thus, neither my parents, my siblings, nor I can speak, read, or write Chinese at all. We've totally abandoned our heritage. :badgrin:

I agree but my heritage is
German, Hungarian, Scottish, Lithuanian, Norweigen, and Jewish and no I am not being racist or whatever by saying that. My family was Jewish as in descending from Biblical Jews...well we assume so. we don't have records that far back but I mean that it is by heritage not by religion...oh I give up. I can't explain this. Hopefully everyone understands what I'm trying to say. I only explained because I know some people (who are not Jewish btw) but they accused me of being racist like Hitler for saying that I am Jewish (race). Anywho this is longer than I thought and I'm just digging myself into a hole so I am stoppping now.

I am American, with a lot of German heritage, although I would rather forget about that part. I would rather not be. I prefer to remember my scandinavian part of my heritage. Anything but German.
