Family Origins

...

If there's something on your mind that just doesn't seem to fall into any of the other categories, well, it quite likely belongs inside Joe Finneman's marketplace. Think of it as a general store for general discussions!

I'm a mixture of some various nationalities. Heinz 57 is what my great-grandmother called it. :)

And how exactly does that work? ;)

I'm mostly German, with a bunch of stuff that probably only accounts for 10% of my blood, if that. On one side of the family, we traced the line back to the original 13 colonies.

do I have to do this again?

anyway I am a Third Generation Polish American, or is it forth ( My grandfather was born here but his parents were born over there. )

I can trace my Grandmother's family all the way to French Nobility, and the mayflower. ( I am also related to a Baseball Hall of Famer. )

I am either the third, forth or fith Generation Italian.

I also have a smigent of Irish English and Scottish.

*sings Star-Spangled Banner*

American, Ms. Meltsner.

Actually, I look neither Irish nor Italian, but just a plain ol' American. Maybe the Irishness and Italianess cancelled each other out or something. :-s

My family seems to know quite a few people who are that combination. Do you identify with one side more than the other? :-k

Didn't we already have this thread in which I admitted I was Martian and then it was pointed out that I had kidnapped Santa and Top couldn't complete his homework?

Besides Martian, I'm also Irish, Swedish and Canadian-French
