This really grosses me out

or freaks me out...

If there's something on your mind that just doesn't seem to fall into any of the other categories, well, it quite likely belongs inside Joe Finneman's marketplace. Think of it as a general store for general discussions!

This really grosses me out

Post by Evil Chick »

You know something that both really grosses and freaks me out? Is silverfish. (Yeah, we have so many goldfish topics, I thought we need a silverfish one, too...)

Anyway, I really, really hate silverfish! I think they are some of the most discusting and grosses creatures alive. And we have them on our steps, going down to the basement, where my room is! *yuck* So, I never walk on those steps barefooted!

They're like these really gross little bugs, but they look a little like tiny silver worms, till you look really close, then you see a ton of little tiny legs. They generally like to live in dark, damp places (i.e. bathrooms, basements, etc.)

Yeah, they're freaky. I find them fascinating, though.

I was taking a shower once and couldn't see the bottom of the tub really well...and it wasn't until one of them was crawling on my foot that I realized that there were a whole bunch of silverfish in the shower with me. And that was one of the most freaky expiriences that I've ever experienced. I absoluely loathe silverfish, but I detest sea anenomes even more. (Oooooh...disgusting.)

Silverfish look too much like earwigs for me to like them.

Could someone post a pic of them? I never heard of them, though if they were in the shower with me, I'd probably die of freaked.... out.... ness... *remembers a similar experience with spiders*

ARRRR! silverfish gross me out. :-s I don't mind bugs- I've had three flies smash into my face before, and I can bear it- what I can't bear are those oozy, slimy looking disgusting things called silverfish and other bugs that look like them. I don't even want to think about it. Thank goodness I've never had silverfish in my home... I learned about them in my Science class. Ugh.

I've never heard of silverfish before, but they sound revolting! What kind of areas do they live in? I will then try to avoid any place where they might be. :noway:
