SnC fund

Postby SivartM » Sat Mar 26, 2011 4:06 pm

So, as I said in the original thread, I think it would be nice to maybe raise money for an organization that SnC would have liked, as she wanted to be a missionary nurse. You can set up fundraising pages on http://www.razoo.com for pretty much any non-profit organization. We'd have to decide what organization, and we'd have to see how much we could actually donate, as in, who here has a credit card or would be allowed to use their parent's, and about how much money could we raise. I know that a lot of us don't have money, so unfortunately we couldn't all help, but if you guys think this is a good idea I guess we can start discussing. I could give at least 10 dollars.

Good idea, SoccerLOTR. Does anyone know her mom? Or know themselves what organizations she was involved in or interested in?

Her mom's page is blocked.

EDIT: This actually showed on the info, though: http://www.facebook.com/worldchallengei ... nc?sk=info

Not really what you're looking for though, I daresay.

I've heard of Mercy Ships before, but I'm sure they're both worthy organizations. That said, there are endless good organizations out there! We just need to choose one for the funds collected here, but if anybody has their own place they would like to donate to individually, of course they are more than welcome to do so!

Is it going to be one of these then?

Probably, unless somebody has a strong opinion regarding a different organization. :)

I think I know someone who just recently left for a Mercy Ships trip...definitely heard of that one.
