Would anyone want to look into getting flowers ordered for next Saturday? I am sure one of us could dig up info on what florist shops are in the area and where they would need to be sent.

www.justflowers.com has a Belen location. I saw a funeral arrangement for about 35.00... not sure if that includes delivery cost.

If the job people can pitch in we might pull it off. Not sure if we can but the info her mother gave was that she considered us family.

I don't think I can pay electronically, but if someone were to pay for the flowers to be sent, I would be totally willing to chip in $10 or so to the buyer by mail.

I would love to do this for the family and end the note with, "...from all your friends at The Town of Odyssey message boards. We're praying." (Or something similar.)

I think that would be cool...I wish I knew someone from her family so I could know best what they would need and/or want for the funeral or afterwards.

Top had mentioned he'd be willing to help out since he has credit cards. Perhaps money could be sent to him? Just an idea...

 Yes, everyone send me money! \:D/

But yeah seriously if no one else is going to volunteer we can work something out... but I am more or less broke so people better really send me money and not forget after they pledge a donation. ;)

If I can get the funeral delivery information, I'd gladly pay ~$60 for a nice bouquet and card from the Town.

Anyone interested can send via Paypal to: thetopcrusader@hotmail.com

Obviously we need to get this ordered ASAP so flowers can be there for the viewing/funeral, so those of you who can't Paypal but want to mail me money... Uh, PM me, I don't want to put an address up on the main board. ;) But yeah, we need to find out basically NOW NOW NOW how much money we have to play with here so we can get something ordered... I can front the money to those using mail as long as you promise me it will be on the way in the next couple days. ;)

So yeah, we need to get a price range and something picked out and a message composed to be included.

From there, any excess money beyond the actual cost of flowers I can hold back until we see our grand total and then make a donation to charity.

Yay for Pseudonym posting while I was composing this!

Well, since Top is so eager to con you guys out of your money, I guess I'll just transfer funds to him. ;) I just set up a PayPal account but it apparently takes 2-3 business days to set up. Rest assured that I'll send you the money. ;)

To encourage the spirit of giving, I will match up to $60, so for each dollar that someone donates to the cause, I will MAGICALLY create another dollar (until I've given away $60, of course). Your donation is doubled at no extra cost to you! Think of the savings! Sixty bucks is hardly a sizeable amount for a match, but hey, if a kids' forum can manage to scrape up at least $120, that'll be an accomplishment. ;)

The catch is that these pledges have to be LOCKED IN before... Monday at midnight, I guess? If, for example, the total is only $40 by Monday night, then I donate $40, we get flowers that aren't quite as nice, and I won't be quite as broke. But I WANT you to steal my money, so DONATE! :x

So pledge now, because you're basically losing money if you don't!

Laura discovered that on Paypal it says Michael will receive the payment instead of Brian... I registered under my father's name years ago and they won't let me change it. ;)

And I'll throw in some money as well, to make sure we take as much money from Pseudonym as possible! \:D/
