Isn't that already how it works?

The problem that this theory was presenting is not a lack of money, or a need for more. The economy is too new, and hasn't developed enough since the last reset, to be infused with new elements at this stage, without unknown effects on inflation levels.

Nor does money that's being saved really have relevance either. It is merely if X is continually shrinking and Y is continually rising, the two will eventually not be parallel. However this system has only been in place a brief time since the reset. Therefore we have no (Or limited) accurate figures for the future.

Yes, excuse my poor choice of words.
You aren’t saying we do or absolutely will have a shortage of money, you’re saying that if certain trends develop it can possibly lead to one in the future.

How would that solve the problem? :|
The point of this is a ‘potential’ shortage of money in the future, you suggest removing the money entirely.
If nothing costs anything, there will never be a "shortage" of money. :-
I just like to be antagonistic. And I know the pressure of the technical aspect of maintaining this site. The cash system isn't working because we were never able to replace the previous one adequately. So if it isn't working, maybe we should look into other options. And I'm completely prepared for you to all throw tomatoes at me for saying so. :D

Ah okay, I see now. Then yes that would solve the one problem that only concerns money, but it would leave and expand the problem of getting teams on the ballot.

That would be great, but unfortunately that is one of the features that no longer functions.

For one thing, there was a lot more to do with the money.
There used to be a job system where members could purchase different education degrees and vocation degrees. Certain combinations of degrees and post count allowed them to get different jobs and each job would give the member a certain amount of money per day. There was also a virtual stock market members could play to try and make money.

The board was upgraded to a new version of phpbb and while that helped with a lot of different features, the money mods were not/are not the same. The old mods that allowed the jobs and stock market are no longer compatible with the board. :(

At least, that's what I've picked up....darcie can correct me if that's not right. ;)

Many features simply did not transfer with the upgrade to phpBB3. They no longer functioned.
That’s the technical reason. But there’s also a practical one.
Back then, with all those ways to get and use money, the economy grew beyond control. People had literally millions of dollars.

Whereas now, what with the recession in Crestwood, we're a somewhat strapped. (It probably sounds superfluous, but with little to no business, we merchants have a right to complain. -_-)

So they could be re-installed and work again?

No, or they would have carried over.
They need rewritten to work with phpBB3, and no one has done that yet.
