Is there a way to hide users priviate info from geusts of the board, cause guest are gettin my s/n from my profile and iming me. I want the users to to able to and dont mind that but any random guy can stumble on to this website and get our personal info.

That's why there's generally a block feature on instant messaging programs.

I'm looking into it right now... I'll get back to you when I find out more.

Unfortunately, there is no way to prevent guests from viewing user profiles.

However, realize that just because you're instant messaged by random users doesn't necessitate they got your info from this board. It's definitely a possibility, but never a guaranteed. Unless, of course, they tell you otherwise.

And, IF you are really concerned, go to My Profile, and Check out what I did, I just put in the MSN since, that link does not work, that "IF YOU WANT MY MESSENGER, JUST PM ME AND I WILL BE HAPPY TO ABLIGE YOU"

yea they siad they got it from here i am mostly concerned about my emial.

That's weird, because I have to add people to my Friends list before they can IM me. They can't just randomly IM me first.

Well, your email in the email button his hidden, but visible in the MSN field... maybe put "PM me" instead there?

There are mods to make the memberlist only viewed by registered members, but let's hope it doesn't come to that.

you must have your MSN set to that, I guess.

So, if MDB17 really wanted, he could go through all the MSN options and set it up so that he can't just be randomly IM'ed.

I know that I have to add and allow before anyone can talk to me,... and it's easy to specify, don't add and block.

When I read this earlier, I thought "How odd!". Then a guest user im'ed me! It seemed harmless enough, though, mainly about AIO and Focus.
