I just got that too.
Gateway Time-out

The gateway did not receive a timely response from the upstream server or application.

And the ToO is currently the worst it's been for me.

I just got the gateway time-out just now, and the site is taking forever to load.

Yesterday it was timed out for a long time and when it finally came back it was super slow for the rest of the day.
Today though, at least so far, it seems to be nearly back to normal.

Make up your mind ToO! :x

Yep, this thread seems to be my usual first stop. ;) I think it was even slower for me this evening than yesterday.

Yeah, the constant lagging is not very much encouragement to get on when it takes you a half hour to browse a handful of threads and post :p

I know, I feel the same way, Marvin. However, today has been fine for me, though it is earlier than I'm often on the ToO. It's maybe a little slow, but not bad.

Shadowpaw, you said doing something to the AIO Wiki seemed to help things here on the forum for a bit, is it possible the problem is over there?

I noticed that a lot of wiki pages currently display "Expression error: Unrecognized punctuation character" in several places.
I don't know how long they've been like that, but if it's a recent thing, assuming it's part of the underlying issues we're experiencing and not a separate problem, is this just another result of the server problems or could this possibly be causing them?
I don't know exactly how wikis work, but it seems possible if there are rendering errors all over the place it might clog up server operation.

Can everyone else get onto the chat? I can't seem to access it, every time I try to bring it up, it won't load. =/
EDIT: It's working now! \:D/

What's our status? People have stopped comparing notes so I only know how things are for me.

The site is usable now, but there is still a definite delay so a bug remains in the system somewhere.

It was a little bit slow for me, but my computer has been a little slow at times lately, so when nobody else said anything, I wasn't sure if it was just me. Apparently not. It hasn't even been really bad, but enough to be noticeable.

Sometimes fast and sometimes extremely slow. Earlier it was extremely slow.

Right now it again is being slow, taking a minute to load pages (other sites load without issues, so, not the connection, though haven't done enough to truly rule out routing issues). What is the typical processor load on the server? Is it possible to setup a cron job to periodically log a ps x to figure out exactly what is happening? (Assuming a better method isn't already in place). The issue doesn't feel like a bandwidth issue, nor do I think we do enough bandwidth intensive tasks. Memory is possible, but I am guessing it is a cpu load issue or potentially an sql issue.

Any status on this? snubs said a while back that she was coming on less because of this, it can't be helping this slump/perceived slump at any rate. I am just glad not to be doing the Amazing Race needing to load 10 threads in a minute xD
