We’ve all heard them. 'AE is so physically mature', 'Whit loves Ham', 'Catspaw’s creampuffs' But, do we really know where they came from? Phrases like this have become a central part of the ToO for the established members that realize their significance, even though they may not all realize the origin. They understand that these are memes even though they don’t really know why. That’s well and good, but part of the significance of things like this is not only appreciating them for what they are, but understanding why they are what they are. I have therefore made it my undertaking to compile a concordance of the various ToO meme phrases that will explain their origins so when people use them they will be able to know why.
When the research is complete the list will be posted in its own thread as a reference tool. The purpose of this thread is to get input from the public to ensure I don’t miss any that I may overlook because I take them for granted. So, if there’s a phrase that you know has a history here but you aren’t sure why, post it and I will be sure to include it.
