What is the official pronunciation of your Team? Because È could be 'E' or 'ay'.

Well, it was originally pronounced E, but the way it's written can also be ay. There's not really an official pronunciation, per se. But it's however the person wants to. I use E, though.

We originally decided to be "Sammy", but dude, I'm really warming up the pronunciation of "Sammay". It's catchy.

What do you think of increasing the signature size limit like was discussed a while back?

As I mentioned, I do like the idea, and intend to go through with it.

Larger image size, smaller text limit. Everyone wins.

When did less text come into this? That's not an everyone wins. Clearly, those who want to use text lose.

Not if we had rules for less text with images than without. Or something like that.

EDIT:

Yeah, something like what Sammy said.

I could possibly write up some rules that we could put in a separate sticky?

I personally think the current limit is overly repressive, I definitely don’t think it should be increased.
If it is only being changed for those who switch to the larger images then that’s different, but it was never clearly presented like that that I saw.
I’m unsure how enforceable that would be though.

Well, I still think we should have an official vote. just so we know where the board stands as a whole....we could always work on the text thing later.

If SamAÈ agrees, would you be willing to work with me on coming up with some kind of rules for the signatures? This way we could probably work in what your side wants and what my side wants? Then American Eagle, Sam, and Catspaw can look over what we come up with.

These decisions ultimately come down to Catspaw and/or the current admin team, so in truth, an 'official vote' wouldn't really be official. ;) We are a republic, not a democracy.

I think we should do a straw poll to see what exactly ToOers want, though. I have no idea what the average ToOer desires because only those in favor of change have spoken out, but many voted against it prior polls.

Personally, I oppose increasing the limit. Shocker. I've run two shops here in town and I understand the struggle to fit creativity into 400x100 pixels. However, I believe that that sacrifice results in a tidier forum and it decreases the loading time for those of us with slow internet connections. That being said, I don't plan to stand in the way of progress.

Perfect. Having an organized proposal for the admin team is always a good way to get things done. \:D/

Puppets have as many rights as they want to. But seeing as they are not independent, it would be pretty useless. :P
