The Summer Forecast: A Not-So-Modern Family

Post by American Eagle »

THE SUMMER FORECAST
The Lounge! | Week 1 | Week 2 | Week 3 | Week 4 | Week 5 | Week 6 | Week 7 | Week 8 | Week 9 | Week 10 | Finale!

Yay! My stock prices did even better than expected! It finished at $22.34. I feel like Nathaniel Graham in Life Trials of the Rich and Famous. \:D/ Monty gets 3 tickets for picking within two cents, while snubs, Knight Fisher and ~JCGJ~ get 1 ticket each for being within ten cents.

Week 9: How many people will show up for my family reunion on Saturday?
So, I like family reunions as much as the next guy, but there's not a lot you can do with great-grandparents and uncle joey in his wheelchair. :( At some point, I'll do a headcount and see how many people show up this year.

AE's Honest Estimate: 20-30 people.
  • If you guess within 10 people, you'll get 1 ticket.
  • If you guess within 4 people, you'll get 2 tickets.
  • If you guess within 1 people, you'll get 3 tickets! \:D/ (For example, if 20 people show up, then guesses of 19, 20 and 21 would be in this category.)
Forecast Tickets for Week 9
  • 6 Tickets
    Knight Fisher, Monty, Sunshine, Shakespeare

    5 Tickets
    ~JCGJ~, Marvin D.

    4 Tickets

    3 Tickets
Aftershocker, bookworm, Eugene the second, Fang-wa, Graces4you, Jehoshaphat, Laura Ingalls, snubs

    2 Tickets
Christian A., godisawesomeness99, Jesus' Princess, Musical Shutterbug, Petrichor, radgeek, Termite

    1 Ticket
    Brad, Joanne, Joy, Skylerbuck, Taps

    0 Tickets
Moontide, The Kings Daughter, TigerintheShadows, T.S. (myself)
This is the second-to-last week of the forecast! I seriously want everyone with 0 tickets to get some! :x You know what to do. This won't close until Friday at 11pm EST.

Is there a reason that my name is both under the "5 Tickets" and the "6 Tickets" categories?

Is there a reason for your critical attitude?? :x

Hmm, I don't know why I didn't remove your name from 5 tickets when I added you to 6. (You received 1 point for the Spurs, 2 points for 93°F, 2 points for Despicable Me 2's $81M, and 1 point for the American League.) I'm allowed one hiccup per week. \:D/

I honestly don't know how many people will show up. For sure, my immediate family (7 people), my grandparents (2), and some of my grandpa's siblings (approximately 6). I will guarantee that 15 people show up. Beyond that, I don't really know. Sometimes a lot of my cousins will decide to swing by, which brings the number into the twenties. If I was playing this game, I'd guess 25 people.

Are we allowed to bribe your siblings to influence the results?

Sarcasm taken lightly. ^.^ Thank you for checking on that - I wasn't quite sure what had happened. ;)

I'll guess 26 people.
