The "Give Nine Things Away" thread

Post by Catspaw »

In honour of the ToO's ninth birthday/anniversary, I challenge people to give nine things away! You can offer nine people one thing each, or one person nine things, or whatever combination makes you happy! \:D/ The item(s) and their value (or their lack thereof) ;) is entirely up to you! We have a lot of creative people who I'm sure can come up with a few interesting options!

I am giving away one of the following to the next nine (9) people who post to say which one of the options below that they want.

You can choose between:
1) $50 in ToO funds
2) A short original poem that I will write on the spot about/for you (warning: it probably will not be very good), or
3) An ode to Shadowpaw's greatness that I will write on the spot (warning: gushing and emoticons will likely ensue.)

Remember, only the first nine people to post and say which one of these three options they want will get their order filled! I'll post in the afternoon to fulfill whatever requests have happened up to that point. In the meantime, come up with your own stuff to offer!

\:D/ \:D/ \:D/ \:D/ \:D/ \:D/ \:D/ \:D/ \:D/

I just really want to read #3. ^.^ Please do it?

Post offers on this thread, or dump a gift on nine unsuspecting people? :shades:

I'll take a 2, because I'm so self-centered and it sounds like ToO.

EDIT:

BTW, we all know bookworm will give away $0.09 \:D/

This is a great idea Catspaw! No better way to celebrate our birthday than celebrating our community as that’s the reason we have thrived for this long. :)

I will celebrate this great day by giving away free money to the first nine people to request it! \:D/

Well, since you asked so nicely and provided such lovely inspiration, how can I refuse? O:)

Shadowpaw is wonderful, Shadowpaw is fine,
No, I really mean it - it isn't just a line.
Cool as a cucumber and warm as the sun,
His idea has ensured that we all have tons of fun!

Oh Shadowpaw, oh Shadowpaw,
How I love to type that name.
Oh Shadowpaw, oh Shadowpaw,
On the ToO, you have an everlasting claim to fame.

I always knew that I liked you for a good reason, KF!

Riddle Poem:

I am funny and interesting,
With a wicked sense of humour.
I can make Catspaw swoon just by her thinking of me,
And April 1 used to be a ton of fun on my awesome website that is now never ever updated, even if people would like it, because I apparently got a life or some such nonsense.

I have been told that I look like Steven Curtis Chapman
But really I am soooo much handsomer.
Don't believe me? Get a second opinion.
I'd be happy to tell you again.

I'm better than Spiderman, but we both like webs.
I started my own town to huge success.
Everybody adores me, and for many great reasons,
And today is a day that is special for me.

Who am I?
If you really clicked the spoiler to see the answer, seek help. You need it. ;)

Emmet wrote:I'll take a 2, because I'm so self-centered and it sounds like ToO.
Emmet the ToOer

Emmet is on the ToO.
Emmet likes the ToO.
Emmet is a smart person.
Emmet is a wise person.

Emmet doesn't really rhyme with many words that make any sense,
But that's no reason for sitting on the fence!
He works hard to earn lots of (ToO) cents,
Watch our for his wit, or your screen will have dents.

Why thank you! The Avatar Roulette game turned our rather well for me, I must say!

A Brief Limerick:
Limerick gave away his poem. The End.

Variations Along a Similar Theme:
Emmett and MLP are the people that this poem is about.
I don't know who MLP is or why it is necessary to hide in the presence of Emmet and MLO.
Clearly MLP is very scary and terrible.
MLP, be nice to Limerick. Stop being mean.
Stop being scary.
Just stop.

Now.

Really.

There is much joy in loving Shadowpaw.
We all love Shadowpaw.

There is much wisdom in loving Shadowpaw.
We all love Shadowpaw.

There is so much happiness in loving Shadowpaw.
We all love Shadowpaw.

There is so much pain in loving Shadowpaw.
Should we really all love Shadowpaw?

There is so much anguish in loving Shadowpaw.
Can we really all continue to love Shadowpaw?

I love Shadowpaw,
But the pain may be too much... :sniff:

I will need to double-count, but I think you are #9. Lucky you!

Whitty Whit is wonderfully witty.
Why is Whitty Whit so wack-tastically witty?
What? Why do you not know?
Where have you been that you do not understand?
Who on the ToO could not comprehend the wonderfulness of our beloved witty Whitty Whit?
Me, that's who. Go away, Whitty Whit. This poem is your (not very) fond farewell.

I might do a few bonus requests tomorrow, so if you weren't one of the first 9 people to post, you might still get something if you're patient. ;)
