Halloween $10 Post Day 2014 Edition

Post by Catspaw »

Everyone,

We are keeping the tradition of having a $10 post day on October 31st. \:D/ Woohoo! This offer will last 24 hours only, so enjoy the money while it lasts! Please keep in mind that your posts should still have your usual level of content.

All areas that you normally get money for posting in have been changed to $10, EXCEPT the SBC forums. You still won't get money for HH posts. Nice try, guys! :noway:

Many thanks to bookworm for the reminder to record the stats! Our current stats are below, and I'll share the new stats 24 hours from now.

Have fun, and post away! \:D/

I am very interested to see how this year’s numbers turn out as this is the quietest activity period I can remember having this in. It should definitely be a noticeable increase over the current state at least, if not the overall average.

The psychology behind getting extra meaningless money is rather fascinating. I shall have to test to see if it's more rewarding if you get a bunch of it.

It’s not meaningless. Especially since this always precedes an Election.

The Elections have real life consequences and therefore real life meaning. So to then does the money that makes them possible.

It wasn’t, because ‘useless ToO money’ is a widespread idea, despite being false.

Strangely enough this is apparently only the fifth time I've used the word useless in a post ever on the ToO.

I was merely giving a misdirection away from my gleeful greed at the thought of 10 times the money. Which is by no means useless (6th).

I never realized how fitting it is to have this day on Halloween. Gleeful greed is the motivation behind trick-or-treating. GLEEFUL GREED FOR CANDY.

Oooooh, this day will probably get me up to 4,000 posts :D

Actually, the reason it’s on Halloween is to encourage people to hang around here today thereby discouraging them from trick or treating. At least that’s the lore. Similar to how the reason money is turned off on Christmas is to discourage people from posting here so they spend more time with their families.
