Slight Uptick in Activity

Post by Dredge »

2 months ago, it was 17 users a day. Now it's about 22.5, good job!

It doesn't. If it did, it would be a whole lot more than 22. Plus, I checked the other day and we were right at 21 (registered users).

I believe bots and crawlers are considered "registered users", at least they are labeled as such at the bottom of the index and on the Who is Online. You're right though that it definitely doesn't include guests or it would be higher.

Edit:

Right now on the index: "In total there are 35 users online :: 4 registered, 1 hidden and 30 guests"

The unhidden users are me, JC, and two bots. So it does count them.

It doesn't appear to count them in the "Who Was Here" statistics though. Unless they are the hidden members, which I think is unlikely.

I'm sure they're not classified as hidden there, since they're not in the real time numbers.

So it counts them in the moment but not in the real tracking. That's good to know, and makes sense; thanks snubs.
