The Town of Odyssey

Everyone,

Just a quick global thread here (it'll be gone in a couple of days), after the big mess we had with moving the server for the ToO and the AIOSF, we had to move the Town Hall archives. Well, Tim Peterson has finished restoring the Town Hall again and this time we have a database backup from May 6, over a month later from the previous backup we had. So if you want to relive some of the memories, the archives can be found here:

And they will be there for the little while. (I just combined aiosf.com and thetoo.com onto the same hosting provider and paid in advance for 2 more years). Enjoy!

Not sure why, but it's something to do with the database. The ToO's database is fine, but I think it's hosted on physically different machine than the town hall one is... it's possible that machine is down for maintenance. However, since I just registered it, I don't even know what machine it is on right now ... but it should work soon. Dreamhost is in the process of upgrading all of their machines to even faster ones (which is great news, especially since I already think these machines are quite fast as they are), so that may also play a role in it.

I'm willing to bet mine did. In under eight months I had made 2000 posts, which here isn't that much, but there, that was a lot for people who had been there for two or three years longer then I had.

Well, that's no more than 10 posts per day

I posted 500 in two months...

I just know I posted twice as much as anyone else at that time because I regularly checked and it was a matter of pride for me...

ok, I'm bad at math, but I'm sure it did at some point. I'll head over and check (if you still can).

edit-I'm not sure what this comes out to, but in just over 6 months I made 2500 posts.

You may well have been posting more than 15 a day at some point but if you didn't check it there's really no way of finding out
