“It’s kind of fun to do the impossible” ~Walt Disney
Written by Kat Doyle
(c) Kat Doyle 2007

There was a man who did not stop
At the times when others ridiculed him the most
A man who had no clue where he was going
But he had a dream that he wanted to achieve

The man whom everyone knows and cherishes
His name is Walt Disney
Original founder of Disney World and Disney Land
The wonderful place where dreams do come true

But this stunning happening all came from one dream
One dream of one man
Who could do the impossible
He was the man who started the rush of animated wonders
Who created the dreams of children of any kind
No matter what race, color,
No matter if they were wealthy or deprived

Everyone loved to marvel at Walt’s creations
From Mickey Mouse to Captain Barbosa
Full of potential as a child
He grew up to be a well-known magician
A magician when it came to making kids and parents
Come together and laugh like children

His one dream
Is one dream that we should follow
And model ourselves to follow our dreams
No matter what we think,
Or opinions of others
“It’s kind of fun to do the impossible”
Through and against all odds
until we achieve
The impossible

When broken spirits have you down,
Your life is bland; unleavened.
When none on earth can change your frown,
Remember God in heaven.

Kats' wonderful poem =D> and Queen Prunaprismias' last-minute ditch-effort to get her name in the paper. :anxious:

Good poem, Kat, it's very true. We shouldn't be afraid of what other people call impossible. :D>
“Among the attributes of God, although they are all equal, mercy shines with even more brilliancy than justice.” —Miguel de Cervantes Saavedra

By the way, Margaret Sanger, founder of Planned Parenthood, was a racist.

I adore Singing in the Rain! \:D/ I agree that everybody should go watch it! It's guaranteed to make you laugh! *laughs at her own song-in-movie-related recommendation* Especially if you like musicals, this is the movie for you! \:D/ If you like people popping out of cakes, or somebody having cake smashed in their face, this is also the movie for you! \:D/

Nice powm, Kat! :D I don't think that Walt Disney could take direct credit for Captain Barbossa (his first name is Hector - isn't that fabulous?) but he must have had an incredible imagination!

The next issue will be an independence issue (sorry Canada people), so if anyone has any stories or poems or anything to do with the 4th of July, please PM it to me.

Excuse the double post but I have to announce that the next issue will be posted on July 9th. I'm sorry for the delay, but I was unable to get on the computer yesterday and I will be leaving to go up north in a matter of minutes. Again I apologize and this will not become a habit.

Edit - double post excused...and removed. ;) - Catspaw
