"That indeed explains your rather odd vote," Aeva nodded obligingly. "However, now I'm also left with no strong suspicions. I do have some very mild suspicions about you, Joy, but I do think bookworm's strategy is a better idea than going by instinct.... My instincts have been known to be wrong before," she finished, quirking a small, self-deprecating smile.

Well JCGJ, that seems to clear that up. Thank you for explaining. I, like everyone else, am still rather confused as to what to do next, but Bookworms strategy seems to be a good one, so I too shall vote.

“I’m glad people are listening to reason,” bookworm said, “But now watch everyone follow my advice and then if Captain turns out to be Town turn on me for ‘tricking everyone into killing a Townie’” He shook his head in disgust.

But Joy wasn't trying to shift the blame. She's explaining why Captain voted for her.

Captain is not suspicious at this point. Joy is. There's no reason to waste this round on removing a new player, when we have a likely mafia. Bookworm, I know your intent with this was your general strategy. But now everyone is using as a cop out to blend in. Including the mafia.

Time's running out. I don't know who to vote for. And if I make a vote now, people will think I'm mafia.

And plus, I think there's enough votes that we can get a kill. I don't know if Captain is mafia. I'm hoping for my sake that he isn't. But for the town's sake, I hope he is. But if he is mafia, people will suspect me because I didn't vote for him so that must mean I know he's mafia and I'm mafia too and I want to protect him. But however it goes..

They had all agreed. After the votes were counted, Captain had the most. Blitz pointed to JCGJ. "You were the last to vote," he whispered. Jesus' Princess nodded. "Then you should be given the honor."

Rad handed JCGJ a small hand pistol. Without another word, the townies tied Captain to a pole in the center of the courtyard. JCGJ took a deep breath, aiming just above Captain's left temple.

He fired.

Captain, a townie, was no more.

The town met late that night for a lovely symphony. Normally, this event would excite and thrill the citizens. But not when the shadow of fear lurked in the back of their minds.

For two hours, the orchestra spellbound its audience with their music. At the end of the performance, many went forward to receive autographs and to examine the various instruments.

Knight Fisher stood alone at the back of the stage, unsuspecting. He appeared to bending down, searching for something...

He didn't see the falling tuba until it was too late.

Knight Fisher, a sheriff, was killed.

Let Day Two begin.

"I'm looking over my notes and Knight Fisher said that Joy was suspicious," Rad said, looking over the edge of her kindle fire. "It might be a good idea to go on the last lead he gave us. Since he can't give us anymore," she added sadly. "We are so kreed."

Astronomer looked at radgeek. "Wow, that's a plausible idea, especially since Knight Fisher was a sheriff. He may have been trying to give us a hint there, and we never knew it. Though, maybe not."
