Operation Christmas Child!

Post by Steve »

Do you or your church partake in Operaion Christmas Child? My church's sunday school (For grades Pre thru 4th) does it and I love helping with it! \:D/ My job every year is to run around with a digital camera, take videos and pictures, edit a video and my dad, who is second-in-command of the sunday school, shows it on a DVD for all of the little kiddos to watch. It's fun.I like the feeling of it too. Knowing that my little crummy shoebox full of presents is going to witness to a kid and brighten his Christmas. I know, cheesy do-gooder stuff ( O:) ) but hey, I love it. So do you take part in it? What do you do? Me wants to know! :)

A big group from my church usually goes to a warehouse and packs hundreds of boxes every year. I have yet to participate, but I hope to this year. I might also be going to a friend's house this weekend to help her pack her own collection of boxes.

I have done it a few times. I'm not sure if we will do it this year, but this is a great ministry! :D

My family sends a box to all the girls that we sponsor in Haiti and normally send one through our church, too...

Use the chatroom! It's been active for a year, and most of you are missing it.

Yeah. Sadly. No, just kidding.

And, I went up to Minneapolis to the big collection center and loaded shoeboxes into bigger boxes, which then were loaded on a big truck and taken to India. \:D/ Fun times.
